After all,a Disney song doesn't need to be "new" or "popular" or even in a hip-hop rhythm(Like most Disney songs these days....Ugh!)to automatically be considered a good song by Disney's standards. I used to watch Summer Magic a lot back in the 1980s, back when the Disney Channel was actually good to watch, what with all its classic Disney. Sadly, I watched it so much then that I can't get interested in watching it again. I still think it's good, but you get tired of filet mignon eventually if that's all you eat.

What a treat! Two of my all time heroes, Burl Ives and Walt Disney. I had the thrill of a lifetime back in 1993, when I took my wife and kids to Disneyland, in California.

We had to go back the next day, too much to fit in. I always thought this song had a cartoon connection in the film. I must be getting mixed up with, `Hoppity goes to town`, that was made by Max Fleischer {Popeye} another of my heroes.
