This is a good example concerning the double standards in the workplace in terms of employee loyalty vs. employer loyalty. The lines are becoming blurred with regards to both but many people are finding out that while searching for a new job the potential employer will continue to scrutinize the time line concerning your previous employment history. Business models today have integrated technology streamlining the labor force as it relates to the business cycle to the point of its usefulness.
I agree. I was let go out of my job about a year ago. They laid off and brought in another guy. My boss said this guy had a a construction background. I asked him what his background was and he said it was credit card industry and he knew nothing about construction. I just got a full time job paying 1 dollar less than before. It is 35 minutes away, but I am taking it and moving on with my life.
if u been at one company for long period of time then lose your job,the chances are that you will never find employment that is has good as the one you left.Of course in todays world there is every chance you will never work again.
So sad. I can relate with these people so much. Sadly there isn't too many jobs that take care of you this day in age. I can really relate with the starting over comment the women made. You get comfortable at a place and you feel as long as you show up everyday and do the best you can you think will never have to worry about the one thing that controls your life, money. Oh well no use crying I guess.

I'm tired of good people getting the shaft. Tide is going to turn and it will not be pretty once it does. People do not forget. Ever.
