now got my n86, and although not as many bits on it, using it is far superior. i have dirty hands at wprk and the touch screen on the n97 is nothing short of useless. but the main difference is the camera and video camera. i videoed my 5 year old inside on a cloudy day, as this is what i want a powerfull phone for, to capture moments, and the quality, without a flash was of dvd quality. but it uses an awful lot of memory space. good feeling phone to. so if you want a video phone, this is it.

i just sold my n97 as its a piece of garbage compared to my n95. but im looking for a new phone and am impressed by the n86, as i am fed up with touch screen.

Go for the n86 my friend, video quality and pictures are stunning mate, I wouldn't have the n97 given me, is absolutely rubbish!

The build quality on the n86 is "solid" and long lasting, you wont regret buying it trust me! :)

Quite a difference, but Nokia is too smart to put all of their goodies in one unit. I don't do that much shooting in the dark to fore go a QWERTY over the hideous, cheap looking N86.

I have a N86 -Indigo Orange UK branded. The actual physical speakers are of the exact same type. Meaning they are the same as the N97's speakers. (RUBBISH) This and the GPS are the things which I most hate about the N86.
