Uptown, Saint John, New Brunswick

Used to live there, sulphur smelling and garbage choked cesspool surrounded by overlogged Irving wasteland. Stereotypically, the people are sketchy and potentially insane looking 30-something year old junkies either on bicycle or walking with a pronounced strut. I find it interesting that Saint John is allowed to stay in the condition it is in, when neighbourhoods in Saskatoon and Vancouver are all refurnished. Much of the city is openly run down and ghettoish, it's surprising.

I'm an American...I'll say this-SJ, NB is a neat rustic city(port towns are cool anywhere you go-New Orleans, Hong Kong, etc). I have friends there and hope to get back there asap

Saint John is the best and the worst, the city has a great history, great downtown while the city still losing population, is quite poor and polluated as well.

Moncton is now the leading city in your province... kindda sucks 'causeMoncton is boring as hell... good thing I moved out to Montreal.

Saint John Rocks:) Every City is different, and actually Saint John is the biggest City in New Brunswick:) Land wise, the City is as big as Montreal, the buildings are just spread out more. I live here in Saint John, but been to Montreal, many, many many times:)

Yeah,I DO saint john is a place where people LOVE to visit and i know that because i see new people here every day I also see tour buses and cruise ships Here but it is lots of fun here and so what if we have the biggest refinery in canada to be exact nothing bad happens here most of the time also we NEVER get tornados and if we do there only these right small one. and if you HATE Saint John so much than stop talking about how bad we are. you should come down here you will love it.
