dam funk is the shit, this sounds like a mix between 777-9311, the unreleased version of Irrisistable Bitch, Lady Cab Driver, All The Critics Love You In New York. That's alot of hot Prince, but at the same time he adds his touch to it and makes it entirely his own as some kind of tribute to the legendary Prince Roger Nelson

Reminds you of Prince because DF used either a real LM-1 drum machine or a sample set. I think he may be using the real one, I'm pretty familiar with the machine, the hi-hat is hot on here, low pitched with a short decay on the closed HiHat, hhhot!

At this point in Toeachizown, the album is a rebirth of Funk. I thought Funk was dead, fuck Hip Hop, I'm talking serious FUNK.... Real... TRUE Funk.

@sirlancelot1 he doesnt program (besides the drums), he plays the whole thing live in layers from 1 cd recorder to another.

@aertikei Take it to another level with Jonzun Crew, Mtume, Yarborough & Peoples (Guilty), Gwen Guthrie, Loose Ends, Imagination, Cheryl Lynn, Sos Band, Tyron Bronson, Newcleus, BB&Q Band, Rene & Angela, Fonda Rae to name but a few of the awesome artists back in the early 80s. Sounds like this but with a layer of alchemy sprinkled on top and killer vocals.
