@PhotonicDoctor the Feds. Star wars is in too much political upheaval. And I believe stargates only advanced tech is a massive transporter they stole or something like that. In trek, the dominion believes they can control more than they really can, most powers couldn't beat the Feds w/o allies, which they're never get. The Borg might get close, but in the destiny trilogy, we beat them. Q warned q of them cause of their ability to continue on even after ultimate defeat

It always kinda bothered me that they never showed or even mentioned any of the changling races that Star Fleet and the Alpha Quandrant has at its disposal. I remember a race of changlings from an old episode of TNG. Where were these races during the Dominion War?

They sure are, but ultimately they are a superior life form. They can control their matrix, which is basically fro us solids, gene manipulation. Even starfleet is not capable of certain things like the borg can. Remember episode where Q's son was messing with Voyager and Q told him not to mess with them. Well you are right the borg would wipe all life.

This moment in the Dominion story arc disappointed me. I was expecting something more epic. We didn't see many of the upper management of Starfleet reacting to what was happening on Earth. I would have been very suitable to see a fleet of starships surrounding Earth - protecting it. After all, the whole idea was that there was a cloaked Dominion fleet somewhere inside the Alpha Quandrent. All we got to see were come starfleet officers beaming down to various cities. Not epic enough.

Lets see, an Alien is in both. Check.

The alien grows inside the person in both. Check, kinda as the Thing actually becomes the person rather than a freudian nightmare.

The two are similar in certain respect, but not enough to be a rip off!!

P.S The Thing is based off of a earlier 50's movie 'The Thing from outer space, so if anything, Alien ripped off The Thing, sort of.

I think Star Wars music is good but it does get overplayed a bit much. Although like one of the posters said it does seem to have a bit more of an epic feeling to it.

I do prefer Star Trek music more than Star Wars music.
