Even if we are gonna discuss his looks, despite countless changes to Dante's design, his hair color, his red trenchcoat, and his general flamboyant, cocky, and outlandish attitude remained the same. The only game where Dante's personality altered was DMC2 and that was the most disliked game in the entire series, soon to be deranked by this attrocity.

@Shintenzu the only reason dmc2 was dislike more then others was that ingame not the story and dante is 17 or 16 year old in this game thats coming out so he not gonna be like dante when he is older he must go through a phase that plays the anchor for dmc3 and dmc1 and note that virgil may actualy appear again since people really liked him from dmc3 and like i said before him going through a punk phase makes sense of where dante gets his attitude and his fuck you persona from so quite it

When i look at his devil trigger it looks pretty much the Dante we know... so its like he has no Devil Trigger yet, but he can Focus his powers.. Ok this DMC takes places a couple of years before devil may cry 3 it's supposed to show Dante when he was all fucked up from the lost of his parents and is out for vengeance alot people complain about dantes look in this game but come on were talking about a Dante that is in his teen years when he is a kid and I know there gonna alter his looks because the do that in every game out there

The reason why there wasn't a sword in the first trailer was because they wanted to implant Nero's devil trigger seeings as how many fans enjoyed it but I'm glad they gave him a sword since Dante without a sword is just... well. not as cool.
