  • how much weight is that?

  • Ok I would like to add to my comment I posted. I just read a review from a guy on amazon. I just thought id share with you guys ... "It works, but it makes me nervous at higher weights that if I were to drop them I could somehow catch my wrist in there and hurt myself.". I have to agree with this guy. Even if I had the money I think I would stick to regular dumbbells.

  • Dude I so envy you for having those powerblocks LOL. Some how I'm under the impression that you can't release them quickly in an emergency (snap your wrist off) ? ????? Ok ok I know you are not suppose to be pushing yourself hard when working out alone.

  • the best of both worlds the bench from ironmaster and the bells from powerblock.

  • @coachandre101 the pins on the sides have a magnet from the pin bar to the powerblock itself the pin will never fall out. Once you push the 2 pins in your good to do any exercise you want without it falling out just make sure the pins are all the way in.

  • Nice workout! I just finished working my triceps with my crappy dumbbells, but it was still a good workout!

  • Is it safe to do rows or shoulder presses with these? I'm not sure if the pin would stay locked on the sides...

  • @CoachAndrew101 Not quite sure what your asking, but the pins stay locked at all time. They have magnets on them and would never fall out even with fast paced exercises. I have a video where I am shoulder pressing them.

  • hows the durability on these things? like.. dropping them on the floor once you've done a set?

  • @pillowpeeknow I don't drop them...ever. if you like to drop your dumbbells after a set you should check out the Urethane sets. They come with a lifetime warranty!

  • @pillowpeeknow

Why would you drop your dumbbells on the floor after doing a set numb-nuts? You watch too many Ronnie Coleman videos.

  • Hey VTB, were the 9.0 Stage II's pre-assembled or did you have to manually add the expansion?

  • @n0netheless I purchased stage I and stage II separately, but no there is no assembly required, the just fit inside of each other. From what I understand there is some assembly required when upgrading from stage II to stage III

  • Can you do an overhead tri with these?

  • @Rellik30 Yea you either have to do one arm at a time or hold two weights together though (kind of weird).

  • @celo456celo They are not akward or bulky at all. Check out the competition section on the powerblock website, its pretty clear. Its a seamless transition from commercial dumbbells. I love the wrist guards on them as well, on certain exercises it allowes me to loosen my grip and focus more on the muscle I wam working. That's the ironmaster superbench, one of the best adjustable home gym benches I've seen. Happy lifting.

  • I just cant get over how awkward they look. They look like they are way too bulky nd would get in the way of range of motion in many exercises. How u like (on a scale 1-10) ?also what kind of bench is that? looks solid. Thanks

  • Hey do you work out your forearms? i've been wanting to know if powerblocks aren't good for doing wrist curls since the bars on the sides looks like it might get in the way

  • @DarkSageZ Sorry for the delay, gmail has been marking my youtube mail as spam. But, there not bad for forearms. It's an adjustment thats all. I usually get my forearms while doing hammer curls.

  • nice man how long did it take you before you could bench the 90's?

  • @demonslayer650 I've been putting up the 90's since I was a senior in HS. My dad is a powerlifter and showed me the ropes pretty early ;-). My max has been +/- 30 lbs per hand over the past few years...I'm at an all time low right now and barley repping the 90's...*sigh*

  • @VTBrewer5 very cool man, any advice you could give to a fellow lifter maybe on the subjects of avoiding injury perticularly shoulder? thanks man every thing helps

  • @demonslayer650 unfortunately I dont have an answer for you. I am in no way a personal trainer. Sorry, happy lifting.

  • good choice of equipment, is that play/wobble I see from the bench when you lay back and then get up?

  • @jprockjr hmmmm...It does look/sound like it moved a little bit. I have never noticed it during a set though. It always feels really solid.
