Oh, thanks for the advice! So in looking at the M9312 Field Maintenance Print Set (which I noticed has some DEC8881 on it). It almost looks like maybe the DEC8881 is a 7401 (Open Collector NAND gates). I note in the M9312 print set there are resistors on the outputs, so I'm assuming they're Open Collector. I haven't found the DEC8640 specs anywhere. Would you happen to have them?
D00d! You are a God! Love the computer, and your accent only adds to the c00lness of the video. I have two 8 inch drives I'd like to interface with USB to a PC. Do you know of a source of documentation on the signals of the 8 inch series floppy? In fact, mine are made by Siemens! Made in West Germany! :) Gootentag!
Thank you so much for your nice feedback. Connecting 8 inch drives to a PC via USB sounds very interesting and is a realy challenge. You will find very good docomentation in the RX02 technical manual EK-0RX02-TM . Just google with " EK-0RX02-TM " and you will find a PDF docu or send me E-Mail, I will reply with this doku. Good luck und best regards
That's a beautiful machine, right there.

Absolutely amazing! You've inspired me to clean out the back room in my basement to restore my PDP-11/70 and VAX 11/750.

@marmotking42 Thank you very much for your feedback. Restoring a
PDP-11/70 may be go very complicated ? As far as I know and from my
experience you have to replace some BUS transceiver like DEC8881 and
DEC864ß0. Good luck !
