I bought six 36 volt dewalt batteries and I connected them together in series and I got 216 volts then I connected it up to a 90 volt 3/4 hp tefc pm motor and it was running good until I started it under load. All six microcontrollers inside the batteries fried. I took them to the dewalt service center and they replaced them free of charge! I found out there is 40 amp fast acting fuse to current limit each battery.
@RBMDragon lol, R U sure? many manufacturers Install paralleled cells within the same battery to obtain a higher capacity, It's usually the series connection that has problems and thus the use of BMS are used to try to maintain a balanced voltage between series connected cells.
@RBMDragon Parallel connection if preferred in low voltage applications such as RC models to have more capacity without the need for more balancing modules; series is necessary for higher power to keep current at reasonable levels and avoid overheating of cables and motors. Btw series and parallel are almost always present in any given pack made with small cells like A123 to keep current and voltage between their limits.
How much volt per Nano tech battery? How many you earn Nano tech battery? Let me guess about you got 100 batteries , am I right? write me back Thanks!
cant you just buy a123 cells with out buying the dewalt pack ??

I'm sorry to tell you this, but never connect a battery parallel to another.
They will disharge each other, because of small voltage differences.
Use PWM modulation for motor control. (Pulse Width Modulation)

@LightningEVAustralia Well, the series connection may have problems due to internal resistance, but it shouldn't be by that much.
Remember, you're looking for watts, not amps.
They probably have their reasons, but then it's clearly a question of money, not quality.
