  • thats beast

  • Damn, they have Crown Vics in Mayberry??

  • i must say, what a nice project car you have there. and for such a pretty car, you paid so little. maybe i should start doing this too. do you have a full garage or atleast an engine jack? or do you do that at a shop? good luck on the next job!

  • Nice vic. Lol @ cartman in the back

  • Looking at a 2008 that looks like this. Has 84,568 miles. Lovely car. Tired of my 07 Impala.

  • I got mine with 70,000 on it

  • I've been wanting one for a while now. Most of these on them classifieds are 110K miles+. How do these hold up. How many miles did you have on yours when you got it? How well are these vehicles usually maintained by law enforcement agencies before being sold to the public?

  • @rehtardeudpossum this car had 127k when I got it , it has 157k on it now , and it is a-ok , I drove a 97 to over 500k with just minor issues , alternator , a water pump , and 2 ac compressors on that car , they hold up very well and if kept serviced they will go 300k easy , just don't buy a nasty ragged out one , the inside appearance shows weather the officer took car of the car , be sure to avoid 1998-2002 vics they have timing chain issues , and don't handle well ...

  • @rehtardeudpossum the known issues these cars have to note are ...if you buy one expect to have to replace the rear wheel bearings , and maybe the axles , about 200 bucks done yourself , they are failure prone , and usually go at 100-120k they also have issues with the exhaust manifold studs snapping off , make sure they are all there , this is a for 4.6 prob not just with the vics , other than that the rear brake rotors will warp if you turn them , so if they need surfaced replace them ....

  • @rehtardeudpossum and as for servicing , the normal is 3 to 5k , most departments take care of there cars , because they use the government to finance them , and have to keep them 7 years , remember a low mile close to new car is never a good thing , they are getting rid of a ticking timebomb , this does happen , look in the 03-05 range with around 100k on it , and don't pay over 3k for it , this car cost me 362.00 yes less than 400 bucks lol

  • @towrecker Thanks so much for all the information. Most of the 03-05's in Southern California run 4-5K sometimes more on the local craigslist classifieds. Should I do some research for some auctions? or is it risky? Thanks so much.

  • @rehtardeudpossum govdeals com if you are mechanically inclined , if you want a nice , but very cheap vic , look for junkers like I do , and make a good car , I have 2 cars I bought this summer (haven't touched them yet) one has a cracked head , and the trans could be better , the other is under 100k and hit hard in the passenger side , I am going to swap the engine and trans into the other car , both cars set me back 575 total ! but I will have a car as nice as this one when done

  • @rehtardeudpossum also I will part out whats left , and crush the bad body , and get a couple hundred back , so I will have another nice vic under 400 bucks , also you can always buy an auction car with a bad engine or trans , and put a new reman in it , for maybe 2k total car and all , then you know what you have , think about it for a bit , and look around , those gears will start clicking , and your tool box might become your friend and save a ton of cash lol

  • BTW - Your Vic is still nice and young barely broken in at this mileage.

  • @hornetsfanjc almost 160k now , I drove a 97 p71 till it was over 500k ...the guy is still driving it lol , service , service , service lol

  • @towrecker Amen brother! I love Vics! It's gonna be missed! And i don't doubt one bit about them doing 500k or even more if maintenence is kept up! Hail to the Vic!

  • Boy do i know about washing these things. Seems like i'm washing mine every few days at the very max. I just HAVE to keep mine washed though. It's a habit. i use Turtle Wax ICE Wash/Wax and it does an incredible job.

    Thanks for showing! Nice Vic!

  • How did you get the push bumper with it? did it come with it or did you have to order it? and what year?

  • @OKnight1Roger I deal in resale of these cars , I had a few kicking around that I had taken off some that I sold , just google go rino and you can find several sources for them around 200 bucks

  • How did you get the push bumper with it? did it come with it or did you have to order it?

  • looks just like mine minus the push bumper xD

  • @jjoncm1 well get ya a push bumper lol ;)

  • @towrecker oh, ok then ill just keep the ones that are on now thanks for the info man

  • @mitchellnunez2012 the slot wheels like mine only some were actually good wheels , you have to go by the #'s a dealer can give you the #'s of the bad wheels , it a range like 1-20 so to speak , you might find some good ones , as they are the same wheel that they used on the merc. g.m. and the regular vics , they are hiding under the hub caps lol

  • im getting one and i have to agree i like your wheels better

  • @mitchellnunez2012 these wheels just like mine , count the holes , are prone to cracking , mine are not in the affected batch , but several where , so check into that for your own safety , they were recalled !

  • I want a Crown Vic so people on the road will get out of my way!!!

  • you should get aluminum alloy wheels for that

  • @windoes98se nope lol , I like the plain look of the dog dishes lol , it's to drive , till it drives no more then I will drive my ugly 2010 , it was a screw up when ordered , it is two tone alright , it clashes lol

  • Those wheels are recalled man, that's why you've got the rust. Mine doesn't have em.

  • @superstormj trust me , I have the recall in print , the code on these wheels is not included in it , without looking at it , I want to say it was wheels made in a 3 month period only , those wheels were replaced by dealer in 2009 , and they even have those ford campaign stickers on the backs of them , I took them to bare metal with glass bead , no primer , and just high temp engine paint , I say the rust is my fault , its just on the face , not the welds either

  • @towrecker

Alright man, just wanted to be sure you knew, since those things could end up just snapping when you're driving one day. But alright. :) Good videos btw, I can't get my push bar mounted because they sent me the mounts for the wrong years... -.- Damn Setina..

  • @superstormj I thought the same thing on the wheels thats on the car , I bought 2 from that department , the other does have the bad wheels on it , and a spare thats not , I would not drive that one far , one likes to leak down , I say it is cracked now looked at the tsb on it a few min ago , three wheel codes affected , one not , in that wheel style btw

  • @superstormj I have a 99cvpi they sent me a pb400 setina with mount kits for a friggin 03 but luckily for me the guy at the audio place have a weldin buddy so they spent 2hrs puttin plates and drillin a hole in the bumper and OMG was i happy with the results although i CAN take the bar itself off yes the mounts are on there for good.

  • @Davis2920022001 Thanks, I've actually been measuring my inner bumper, etc, to cut pieces out and make it fit. I'll check into welding shops though!

  • I can relate to the dirt stripes.lol. My p71 was worse than that after the 2009 ice storm, the car was washed in november of 08 and didnt get washed till april later that year. took me 4 hours to get mine clean.lol, your p71 is lookin good! Have you tried clay baring your car? I havent had a chance to try it.

  • @Mr1999p71 I have clay bared a car before , it works really well , just keep it wet lol

  • You have the recalled 7 holes rims.

  • @riverdave7 only wheels made between specific dates were recalled , the wheels on this car , are not the code recalled , I have checked all 5 of them , now the junk vic I have does have the recalled wheels ...

  • bring it to ontario for me? love those cars

  • i love those cars..i want one!

  • Hope your doing well towrecker

  • @TheOldcarlover I died , but they said I was to broke , and that I had to dig my own grave ....so did that today , going to die again tomorrow , wish me luck ....

  • I too have bought and sold cop cars.Have you seen the wheel crack problem(recall) with the 03 to 05 crown vic 12 hole rims? Some have a persistent slow leak (cracks in the bead seat area)and all of them rust real easy, they need lots of paint.I would buy a set of 06/newer 10 hole rims just for safety. They use the same dog dish hubcaps as the earlier rims,or the fancy chrome full wheel hubcaps. That car turned out real clean.

  • @poplvr the wheels on mine are the replacement wheels from the recall , they are for sure not the affected ones , I checked the codes myself , as for the newer wheels being 17's , this may sound odd but I don't like the ride , or the handling characteristics of the 17's , it makes a big diff to me anyways...and the 5 new sets of 16 inch rsa's that I have yet to wear out lol

  • Nice lookin car that, about time you cleaned her up :P LOL!

  • @More350Power well it's about time you take a bath too , the creek is up right ?

  • @towrecker yes it is!

  • i have that same push bumper on mine, nice to have if ur out drivin around and u find some poor soul disabled in traffic.....do you ever have coil issues...i seem to have them go down on a regular basis.....

  • @SplitSecondTowing I have had coil issues with other vics yes , but this one still has all 8 of it's factory ones , and has yet to have an issue , all I have done other than servicing this one has been rear wheel bearings , and plugs when I got it at 120k,and belt tensioner , an idler pulley , as for coils the best ones I have found are 10 bucks each on ebay they are ralley branded , several sets in other vics zero issues from them , proof you get what ya pay for is b.s. lol

  • That rear door molding has to go. Then it will look SMOOTH.. that is, if the door was not painted w/ the molding stuck on like so many have

  • @ghtowagon if you take the molding off there is an oval hole in crown vic rear doors , it is for the bottom door hinge , about the size of a half dollar stretched oval , so you can't delete them , I have the front ones , just never got around to putting them on lol

  • I hate fuel injection! Carbs are better in my eyes.. Why do u,always put, your 2 sence into everything? I lost your num since u hate phones.

  • No way.. And u suck! Lol . You know and I know that fuel injection sucks.

  • @TheOldcarlover I like fuel injection , more power , cleaner internals , and starts right up , just a fact ...

  • So your gonna get rid of all your gas vehicles. Im buying the wrecker and the ford.. Lol

  • @TheOldcarlover think I am gonna just dig a hole , drive them in and cover them up ...

  • rrespect ma authoritah!

  • @EricTehRedneck you can only say that if you are wearing mirror sunglasses lol and 2 feet tall lol

  • too new.. I dont care for pig cars

  • @TheOldcarlover well a big sale out is coming , nothing will be left here but fuel injection ...

  • damn I thought this vid was gonna be your 2010 crown vic with a new paint job, still waiting to see it!!

  • @flyingmonkey1993 nope she is still ugly lol , but I am thinking about just leaving it that way , it will be rare one day , it's not even been started in like 6 months lol , bad me I know lol

  • @gonehuntin018 they should have kept on with the 7.3 ..speaking of 7.3's I have one for sale lol

  • Looks nice all washed but it doesn't last long with all the stuff blowing around along with critters and birds.I washed my olds friday went to a car show that ended up getting rained out yesterday saturday then today I drove my car and a friggin bird nailed it good. The cartman doll is good you got a laugh on that one lol.

  • @delmontcrusier I hope it was what comes out of a birds back side , and not the whole bird that nailed her lol soap and water is a lot cheaper than body work lol

  • @towrecker lol yeah soap and water not damage.I found out a long time ago not to park under trees but they still get ya sometimes.

  • @delmontcrusier trust me on one thing , that olds rocket is a bird sh%t magnet lol

  • @delmontcrusier when you see a video pop up of my old store sign be sure to watch it , you will for sure like it by the way , you will understand ...I shut up now ....

  • @gonehuntin018 the crown is over as of the 2011 model , ford killed it ;( replaced it with a taurus police package YUCK !

  • @towrecker Yes 2011 is a sad year being that last of the Crown Vics.

  • fucking salt somova bitches

  • @skinrider666 yup they dump it everywhere so it will eat our cars , but I think they dump as much as they do so it will eat their dump trucks , so they can get new ones !!

  • nice prisnor lol i need me a crown vic 1 day

  • @richthecardude94 I will have some in a month , cash and carry lol

  • That is one sexy crown vic! Wanting to pick up some of those wheels for my 2001.

  • @ComputerTechTV those wheels will not fit a 01 the back spacing is so diff , they will not even bolt on , the wheels on mine , if you tried to put them on yours would set so far under the car that the wheel will hit the frame before the lug studs cone through them , you can put the old wheels 02 back on a 03 up and give them that fat tire skateboard look lol , yours should have the rally wheel , get a nice set of explorer lug covers for it , the look a bit better than the ones they used on those

  • @towrecker Thanks for the info you know your CVs that's for sure you on CV.net by chance? Think my car has the stock steel wheels not sure if they are the ones you listed but they are ugly and rusty. If I do ever get some wheels might look for some Mustang ones or maybe just a decent set of aluminum ones.

  • @ComputerTechTV I was at one point , but (???) best left unnamed , but known for the doughnut , and hair dryer pic said something I did not really care for , and haven't been back since lol , are your wheels the slotted ones all around the out side ? if so that the rally wheel , btw any tomb stone place will sand blast them for you lol , you can do it with the tires on too , just duct tape around the wheel , and valve stem , and blast away !

  • I like the Push bumper that's pretty cool i'd like to get one of them for on the front of my tahoe, looks like you could benefit from some good wax too. best stuff i've found that will last is Nufinish. (I hate waxing) but that stuff seems to protect and stay on pretty well unless the finish is shot. as tof the wheels have you tried sanding them down and putting Naval jelly on them then sealing and repainting? naval jelly stops the rust and don't take long to do it's thing either.

  • @daddytech buy a go rino pushbar like the one on my vic off ebay , the bar its self is the same for every app , then buy the mount kit to fit your tahoe , that will save ya a lot , as for wax , I waxed it last fall , and the car has fresh paint , last july , after I got all the crap washed off she beaded right up lol

  • im wondering man, does that have the supercharger on it? if so how many horses and torque

  • @pwned2122 there never was a supercharger put on a crown vic police package , they are the same car that you could buy off the lot , only diffs were the rearend ratio , the cam shafts , the idle speed , and charging system , they do have several heavy duty parts in the engine and suspension though , and they weigh less

  • @towrecker thanks man i didnt know that

  • @pwned2122 after looking back at my reply to you , I really was not trying to be a smart a** lol , hope you did not take it that way lol

  • @towrecker didnt take it that way...appreciated the information

  • @pwned2122 good lol , but remember take what I say sometimes that may seem negative , as positive lol , I am bad at sounding hateful in text lol

  • looks good, i want one :P

  • @lolMyke next batch in a little over a month till they one out of service , should range from 2500 to 4500 depending on the sape and miles , but most of these I will get are going to be 100-120k and nice , so they will be on the upper end on $

  • That thing is looking nice man :)

  • @skatecodered thanks !

  • @towrecker i always wondered about tis car in the background but how did u come across this ?

  • @vatechbiggdanny I buy and sale these cars , I have bought and sold over a thousand of them in the past 15 years , I drove a 97 till it had 850,000 miles on it , one tranny overhaul was all I did to it lol they will run forever 'if' you take care of them , and keep them serviced !

  • man what the hell...ive seen these things ALL OVER east tenn

  • @BigVOLdaddy I buy and sale these "things" I have turned over a thousand of them in the last 15 years lol so I am part to blame for tha lol
