In the past thousands of years, Tibet was a part of China. In the coming future, it will be still a part of our chinese. Tibetan is one nation of chinese, there are totally 56 nations in China.

As to the old tibet, do you know what was its society politics ? It was a serf-slave society. Would it be possible that you criticize and protest the ruler in a serf-slave society?

However, I wouldn't like to defend for the action that kick international media out. Even a media say lies, let it say, give a chance to the reader making judgments by themselves instead of thinking and selecting by media itself. Media is an information loader, not an information judge.

Agreed, media can be biased but both sides can be heard in the west unlike in China only CCP's version exists, hence giving it very little credibility in the eyes of the international community. Especially when even Chinese nationals are jailed, tortured, killed 4 speaking out & world media band in Tibet. Masses are brain washed by the CCP, this is a great disservice to Chinese people. All people need access to the truth including the Chinese. This is just one way the CCP controls the people.

Do you have enough evidence to say that? I know several days ago, a united term from different countries went to Tibet to investigate the violent commotion in tibet. I think the report will publish later.

These protests are against the CCP not against Chinese people, for u 2 r suppressed. Can you criticize the CCP openly in China? What happened to students and lawyers who did? Openness and dialogue is the way forward not lies and guns.

Why do some persons link the Olympic Games with chinese government? Olympic Games is an international games, it should separate from politics. Why did those persons select this chance?  We are chinese, shouldn't we support our motherland to hold an international sports?

Why did those international media ignore the support from the chinese and stick to the protest only? Is that right?

Politics is in everything, it would be naive to thing otherwise, especially the Olympics. Just look at its history. Chinese government is using it as a political tool taking it around the world especially into Tibet where there is much suffering & killing with the crack down. Dalai Lama said China should get the Olympics when IOC asked him back in 2001. He still says China deserves it even with the situation in Tibet, hoping it will bring more openness to all of China. I agree.

I think many persons will disagree that Olympic games is a political thing especially. Dont forget the tenet of olympic games. People would hold together friendly instead of fighting each other.

As a leader of a religion, I respect Dalai Lama.

He is a pacificist. However, his organization is quite violent. They killed many people in the accident last month.

If you are discussing with me about democracy, it is ironical that you educate me with Dalai Lama. I have no mind to offense you and your religion. But from the political view, he was ever a ruler of a serf-slave region. Was that possible that you get democracy under a serf-slave system?

In a democracy people speak out, criticize their own governments and protest. Its healthy checks & balances. These r part of our fundamental human rights. The torch has become a symbol of the Chinese government so the protests across the world r against exactly that, not against the people. U should be proud & support you motherland but also ask why so much protest across the world? What is ur government doing in ur name to make the world so angry? Then u can truly be a proud Chinese citizen!

Our chinese made the world angry? By how? Because we sold cheap goods that we producted using our own materials? Tell me the number of tibetan living foreign countries and the number of tibetan living in China.

Everyone knows the media in China is controlled by the state, so it's ironic to accuse the Cambridge Chronicle of bias. Even most Chinese language media in the west is directly or indirectly funded by Chinese Communist Party (CCP). That's why u will only get CCP's version of reports regarding Tibet, Falun Gong, Chinese Democratic Movement, Darfur, Burma, aids victims etc. if any coverage at all. Ask the journalists who write for these papers.

Now, it is internet time, in fact, chinese goverment can't prevent the chinese from international information completely.

For the chinese who knows English or other foreign language, we can get news from kinds of website and media by ourselves.

But, how do you know chinese? Did you ever get some information from Chinese website or media? In most case, you get information from your own media. That may cause bias too.

Many old maps show Tibet to be a separate nation from China too. If Tibet is free why did the Chinese government kick out all international media and tourist from Tibet? Why have protests taken place in over 50 cities in Tibet knowing they will be arrested, tortured and possibly even killed? Chinese people need not take offence for u too will be treated like the Tibetans if you protested against the Chinese Communist Party. Look at Chinese citizens incl lawyers, students who have protested.

'Free' doesn't mean that you can kill or harm other persons freely.

Some persons killed the peaceful persons and harmed hundreds, would the government keep quiet and let them do that freely?
