@rompundex Lost Horizon are good but old. Not done anything since 2003. They are working on another album without Daniel Heiman but its a side project from their actual bands. I'd wish Daniel had auditioned for DragonForce it would have been good. Marc Hudson is a good singer but can't reach the notes that ZP could and ZP is with a new band know anyway... so much for the blues ZP.....

@rompundex ZP is DragonForce's old lead singer. Very powerful. Can hit very high noted likes Daniel. He left cause DragonForce was getting a bit stale but the new lead singer is like a fresh start, hopefully they'll have a different sound. One that is good but one that is like the DragonForce of old.

@TheHugeTuber True! LH have taken too long to do anything and very few announcements since Daniel's departure. I never got to see them live and I hope one day I do with Daniel back in the band. It's sad when talented bands and musicians part when unity has ceased amongst them. Maybe they will Think Not Forever and reform while time is on their side.

A band is a collection of talent and LH had an abundance of talent with Daniel. Since their parting, LH has moved forward very little if anything at all.

Regardless of what band Daniel Heiman is in, wether it be LH, Heed or his new endeavour "Lavett", it is safe to say that this guy has the most power vocals in heavy metal. Lost Horizon were an amazing shock to the system when they released their first album, followed by AFTTGB, and no band has even been able to replicate the feeling this band leaves you with. WILL IS THE POWER!

This is definitely power metal with minor progressive elements. 'True metal' isn't a genre so much as an idea. If you're reluctant to consider this power metal because there exist some... less than good bands in the genre such as Dragonforce, you need to take Lost Horizon off of the pedestal you've set them upon. They're just a band, not some sort of religion.

This is not power metal, this is progressive true metal in the members own explanations explained in various old interviews. You can't mix their above average work and ideology with stupidity that represents popular term of "power" metal and is supported with simple bands like HF, DF(they called themselves power even tough they're music is to infantile so to be even considered as Heavy Metal), BG(well they're quite good but totally something else from LH); so limits must be put somewhere ;)

@HeimanChords I don't really see how this is progressive metal at all. There isn't any emphasis on the instrumentals, no creative poly-rhythms, or any of the things you'd really associate with progressive metal. From a strictly vocal standpoint you could call it progressive, but at the same time his voice fits in with powermetal too so you wouldn't define them by vocal style. In my opinion they're more power metal than anything else.

the weakest song on the album is the highlander. The rest of the songs are classic and the album is classic.
