A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. how come the only thing miked is the drums? could this be pre-recorded, and then vocals live?

could be a room mic for the guitars and bass... its a good technique for sound engineering for their style of sound. :)

the guitars are electric, so what else do you really want a mic on?

well, typically, there is a microphone on the amplifiers to pick up the sound coming out of it. the guitar goes into the amplifier, and the sound comes out of the amplifier. without a microphone on the amp, how would you hear it? it doesn's seem like they'd use direct input because part of their unique sound is their amps. i don't know.

uh.... at the volume of a live performance, you don't close mic the amps like in the studio... this was probably recorded with room mics or something like that
