I've been a Cale fan since early 70s - in my mind, he's the number one 'groove' man. By the way, great to see a good player with an old Fender P-bass and notice, only four strings! What a concept.

I don't like to travel or even leave my house but made the trek for the chance to hear him. His band was all a bunch of older guys and they all sat to play. It was very laid back. I got the feeling he prefers being in a big dancehall rather than standing in front of an audience...even an enthusiastic audience. He could perform by himself out on the street and move a crowd...a real minstrel with a great feel for things in life a lot of us share.
