Although this commercial gives an almost DISTURBING amount of emphasis on how taking care of your home is a "dream, dream dream", it does teach some good values. It gets kids into thinking that helping out around the house is fun, so they'll enjoy doing laundry and dishes for a while. And call me sexist, but I think girls naturally have maternal urges that need to be let out sooner or later, so the baby doll isn't THAT bad.

the point is they are immediately nurtured to be a mother and housewife, these sorts of adverts make cleaning seem desirable. i always wanted the boys toys when i was little, they seemed way more fun, but even they are filled with the stereotype of being a strong manly man. gr.

almost ALL little girls like to pretend they're princesses, play with baby dolls, play house, etc. there's nothing wrong with girls liking girly things. so people need to calm the heck down.

for all the people that are saying all the rude things about littel girls dont need to "play house and all that" My daughter is 3 years old and for christmas she asked for a shopping cart , a Hoola Hoop, a docters kit and a Fire Truck. she also picked out a Pink Castle and she loves to play house and pretend to be a Mommy to her baby dolls. she also loves to dress up.

they're not suppose to do that. How can a little girl do all those things if they're just kids? o-o I mean unless she's crazy I don't think a girl's gonna stay home and take care of a baby she's never had while living ALONE and never leaving home thus never making money to maintain that home.
