I don't speak French. I went to MTL to watch the Leafs beat the Habs this past OCT, and some chick was trying to sell me a subscription on the street to something. Long story short, she was kind enough to try and speak English, but this old relic nearby was giving me this weird look as if to say what the hell was I doing there. I say its 50/50. Some frenchies don't really care, but mostly the old generation takes offence to you not speaking French in Que. Not my fault I can't speak it.

And the fact that the culture minister of Quebec's gov't criticized Montreal for hiring an English-only speaking coach is pretty laughable.
