dont bother with the bearing race...... just glue the servo saver and you got the same result(flex that bearing race like a servo saver and it will break)
instead of cutting and joining the servo wires together why not just use a y cable designed to do this kind of job ? , good work though mate looks great "thumbs up"
@jamhamster Hey, love the tutorial, can't find the post in the forum though. What brand of differentials and suspension are you using. I need to get me some of them.
@Billybobdudees There are two bearing sizes in the RC18t, it's the outer case of the largest one (8x12mm). You can just slip it over the stock plastic ring and it tightens it up a treat! ;-)
GIVE ME A BREAK! You & I both know you don't have copy-write to this idea. Sorry to burst your bubble but your not the first to come up with this idea , & I know a machinist who did this 10 years ago when these trucks just came out. If you actually have a copy-write why don't you post your patent # with the video? LMAOROTG!
@GeneticallySuperior1 LOL! Grumpy much? I think you've got the wrong end of the stick... I never said it was my idea, it's just a tutorial as to how it may be achieved, I had to put the copyright thing up as other sites were ripping off my stuff and were earning revenue from it. Also, I used the bearing case as it worked far better than any of the other servo saver rings I had tried. You might want to ease up on the pejorative tone there, some people might take offence! ;-)
@jamhamster I absolutely respect the way you handled that! I completely & totally apologize for my asinine approach for something that's none of my business anyway. There are few in numbers who would of taken such a gracefull approach to your message back to me & I really really appreciate that. Good day & Godbless....
@TheUnseenguy They're 'Super Gripper' tyres from a Tamiya Hornet, they fit on the rims nicely. they're heavy tyres but grip like nothing else! if you check my channel you can see the car in action and how well the Super Grippers do their job ;-)
oh sick man than you very much, i just got an rc 18t like 3 days ago and i been wanting to upgrade a bunch of stuff!!! if you have anny more upgrades that you have for the rc 18, plz tell me.
The bearing I used is the larger one of the two types of bearing you get with the car. The outer case of the bearing that goes on the diffs is the perfect size to go over the stock servo saver and you don't even need to glue it! ;-)

@jamhamster Sweet, cheers for the info. Definitely something I will do.

They actually sell a servo saver ring for nearly the same price as the bearing you tore apart. Just curious- are you a NOOB ?

cod4madass 1 year ago
@cod4madass I know what you mean, I've been through about 5 aluminium top plates but have switched back to plastic and it hasn't broken yet ;-)

Looks fucking wicked! does anybody get loose parts from using aluminum? i have to use aluminum and plastic to keep parts snug and from wobble.
TheUnseenguy 1 year ago
@TheUnseenguy I use Loctite 243, it keeps everything from shaking loose rather nicely. ;-)
