spot on gcarlin92, I watched the film of bartley years back and never forgot his voice. one bit he says `they tried to wipe me from the face of the earth` and it`s exactly the voice paddy puts on.

bartley was a very special man, read his book if you get chance `king of the gypsies`, full of great stories and courage.

i v been in a situations with looney nerds like morrell - the character is spot on, they were mainly meet ups from chat lines or pen pals far too old to be doing those sort of things , at the time i was 13 - The nerdish behaviour was alwayd deadly serious and dangerous - Paddy is so accurate its eery -
