duh!! if you don't know this in the first instance you have no business being any where near a bike,not only that it's one of the first checks that you have to do on your bike test before they even let you get on the bike,and i wouldn't try the one hand approach as that would be a fail not only that it's a bit dumb as you have no control over the bike and it could cost you when you drop it.
