He has also played Gretsch guitars, most notably a White Falcon. On occasion he has also been known to play a Rickenbacker. Quite a wide range, I reckon for this song it would have been one of the Strats or telecasters.
I and other chilli's fans are thinking the same, why didn't they release this as a single? It's got it all, meaningful lyrics and great drum and guitar combinations. maybe they wanted to keep this song as one of the gems that only real fans get to hear

i'm glad this song was not a single. as much as i love under the bridge, scar tissue, give it away and californication, to me it seems that the crown jewels of the album are often hidden, so that you have to search for them, but shows the REAL bands emotions.
I'm 16,and I agree with many,its foolish that such amazing music is frowned upon and that this horrible generation prefers edited vocals,and lackluster emotion in music,aswell as generic lyrics and melody.

I was 11 when Californication came out, it was (and still is) one of the very few albums I can listen to straight without skipping a single song. @twelvethousandcats I felt the same with BSSM, i was 14 when that came out. From that point I was a chili pepper fan. Californication is my 2nd fave chili album after BSSM.
