a very easy quest to complete , i like the addiation that was made with the Fcom mod , it puts a tougher lich and a lot more skeletons

After going through all the traps, you will see a raised pillar with no obvious way to go through it, and one wraith will spawn (usually on your right side), continue forward to the opposite side of the room, go up the stairs and turn right, there should be a pressure pad, turn around and stairs should have raised to the central platform. Go up them, and on the left side, from where you go up the stairs is a pressure pad, hit that to raise the cover, pick up the helmet and welldone!! Now return.

Inside the dungeon: Inside the dungeon, which is where you will go after the pillar has been raised, there are wraiths that can only be damaged by magicka, if you don’t want to fight them, you are able to run past them. There are also three traps worthy of noting. One is a spikefall trap, which you will easily see because of the holes on the ground, another is the spikerise trap, which you can see because of the blood on the ground. And the final is a pendulum trap, which is more difficult.

Order is: Fire, Frost, Damage Magicka, Fortify Magicka.

Hint: Spells must be cast in order noted above, if not, you will be shocked by the crystal pillar traps on each of the four corners of the room for minor damage. If you don’t own a spell, try going to mages guilds and buying them, also by the translator (normally located in the doorway before entering) there is a chest with scrolls, including fortify magicka, damage(sever) magicka and flare.

i did it in order, i took the damage and fort. magicka from the chest i did fire first then frost, the damage spell (which is the touch spell) and as soon as i use the damage magicka on it, it resets, its stupid

It's actually incredibly simple. Fire, Frost, Damage Magicka then Fort. Magicka in that order and yes, the chest contains all the spells. Make sure when you go to use the spells that you are looking at all of the spells, not just touch/ranged. One of the scrolls is actually touch and you will need to be standing at the pillar in order to use it.

Check in the chest behind the guy. it should have some scrolls in it that help out. Fire, Ice, Sever Magic, fortify Magic. I think that's the order, Save before you do, Also remember one scroll is a touch one.

Uhhhghh on my first mage which i made a long time ago i completed this quest without any problems but now i can't get past the pillar. When i try to use the Fortify Magica spell on that section of the pillar it somehow fails and I get shocked. Anybody know what can fix it?

I'm trying to figure out what happened to all that "random loot, up to 15 possible varla & wekland stones" (wiki) I was supposed to find in there. I didn't even find one of those Wekland (or whatever) stones! I was psyched about the varla's because my dumbass gave Martin Azura's star - Hey, I was still low level and fairly new to the game, I didn't know that I could've given him something else, but it screwed me. Now, I'm on a constant quest for varla stones. Anyone know where the stones are?

You've probably got it figured out by now, but for anyone who needs it: I'm assuming you have already gotten the translations. So for the pillar, any spell you will need is in the chest at the entrance of the pillar room. Use these spells from the chest in this order:

1. fireball/fire destruction spell

2. ice/ ice destruction spell

3. damage/absorb magic, the spell that decreases an enemies magic

4. fortify magic

Names aren't exact, but they're all in the chest. Hope this helps
