The hypnotizing that is being spoken of here was discovered being used by a certain supposed exorcist. A pastor who is an expert on the paranormal, actual possessions and hypnosis attended a service featuring this person and saw certain things he was doing when addressing those people face to face who belived that they were demon possessed. The pastor immediately knew that this supposed exorcist was hypnotizing people and later publically called him on it. Pastor was removed from the premises.
Wow, this is great. It's so wonderful to hear the truth, and not made up miracles, not people who have worked themselves up to manufactured cures. It's so nice to know there are people who know the difference and can understand this. The TBN, Word of Faith cult has become a main stream religion in America and some of the faithful followers don't even know what is being taught. They are being taken advantage of - it is spiritual abuse. Thank you for posting this.
Justin has an excellent 3 dvd documentary which he did before Bentley became famous about other faith healers and related heretics, it is the best series I have ever seen done on this topic in video form. See my youtube heresy and false miracles playlists for some clips of it and where his website is. I highly recommend his stuff if you are over 21 and in sound mind so you can take dealing with these kinds of hard core shocking truths.
Only Jesus can heal people. Todd was chosen to host a Great Healing Party. Jesus is doing all the work. Look at the FRUIT! People are being healed! People are being saved! PTL!!This is all for God's Glory! Are you Glorifing Jesus or paying too much attention to the donkey He is riding in on?
nowadays we don't seem to have any discernment left. understand that the church has been molded and prepared to finally accept this sort of thing. Yahshua warned us many times.
it is fulfillment of prophecy: the great falling away.
There have never been any true Biblical examples of miracles performed since the time of Jesus and the apostles such as raising people from the dead days after being in a tomb, making people who were born blind to instantly see, etc. All Todds examples are self induced through endorphins, hypnosis, trance inducing music or are mental to begin with created by the receiver. There will be an exception to true examples in the last days but they will be done by the antichrist, see 2 Th 2:9, Rev 13:14
well, i have to disagree. what about peter, he had an anointed handkerchief, and how about my sister, who got her leg grow even with the other.
maybe i miss your point (i hope so)
anyway, for me it sure has been quite a journey before i finally found that not only this, but most everything i hold onto as an evangelical, who did support this kinda stuff, is not even biblical.
but fortunately, YHWH is a very good Father. can i get an AMEN?
Are you sure these people are really being healed? I've heard that the people that can be found and were said to be healed were not healed at all. In fact, some of these people died because they went off their medicine. There is no fruit at this so called revival. How many times do you hear Todd quoting scripture? And it plainly says we are not to pray to idols or angels - only to our Elohim. Todd Bentley is as false as they come. Excuse me - Boombabam???????
You need to get really saved. You obviously have not surrendered to the Word of God. You neither rightly understand it. Todd is false. We have been warned many times in the bible of these types of "preachers". The truth is out there. Just accept it. No preacher is above God's infallible Word. Stop being duped. Being ignorant of the word will be no excuse.
Listen to yourself, "being duped", hahaha like you after listening to these wolves in sheep's clothing healer fraudsters. How much do you think Todd Bentley earns for one of his spirit meet ups?? Pure money making scams, and people with no hope or no personality buy into this lie.
I don't follow Todd Bentley or any other false teacher. Did you actually read my comment. "Todd is false". People who deprave, lack desire of the spirit, spiritually debauched, lost, deaf, dumb amd spiritually blind will follow these delusional men. I find "his" ministry hugely gross, vile and disgusting. Read man before you comment.
"Wormanatti" : You're dead on correct. If you follow and closely examine what Friel actually says, you will realize he's simply a showman. He is also a coward who is terrified at the thought of debating educated and well-read followers of Christ as opposed to people like him (Friel) who call themselves "Christians".
Aaah, you may want to reread which Todd I commented on. I don't even know, nor, have I ever heard of Mr. Bentley. I have, however, listened very closely and carefully to Mr. Friel. He will deflect and avoid talking about any areas of Scripture where he is clearly in error. He covers and believes certain parts of Scripture, but, he simply doesn't believe other parts of the Bible. Example? he personally said to me that "Jesus Christ IS NOT the savior of ALL mankind". Need I say more?
I used to listen to Mr. Friel's program when I lived in Minnesota. I have a tape library of my calls to his show. I not only have the smoking gun, I have an audio recording of Friel uttering those very words I previously indicated, in addition to several more of his misquotes of Scripture. He intensely despices being corrected as I can only surmise his principle quest is "to be right" as opposed to peaceful, collegial, civil, discussion. He bails out once he's been exposed himself as misquoting.
In fact, I once asked Mr. Friel if he knows each and every chapter and verse in both the Old and New Testament and whether he believes he may have an incorrect understanding of the authors intended meaning of those passages. Friel responded by stating he doesn't actually know every verse intimately, but, ..."the ones that I don't actually know most likely AREN'T worth knowing because they're probably of such TRIVIAL importance with regard to actual doctrine".... That is an actual verbatim quote.
He's not as bad as Hank Hanegraaff though. I once heard Hanegraaff say to an 8 year old little girl who called his program and asked him what happens when we die. Hanegraaff said, incredibly enough, ..."well, when we die, we don't REALLY die".... Again, a verbatim quote. I remember thinking to myself upon hearing that, "yeah, right Hank. Kind of like when we're born. We're not "REALLY" born! I can't make this stuff up. Truth truly is stranger than fiction.
It sounds like you've had some experience with this Bentley individual that you're, for whatever reason, not willing to disclose. Feel free to share your experiences with the readers. Conversely, might you have some information that would support the veracity and sincerity of Mr. Friel?
Apparently you do not have a true walk with Christ, or you do not understand inerrancy in scripture. Either way, disagreements you may have on secondary doctrines with Friel and Hannagraf, they are both sound on the primary doctrines of the faith.
@apathy7170 : I wish I could agree with you. However, I can say unequivocally and emphatically, they are not sound "on the primary doctrines". Just read my previous posts where I've provided verbatim quotes of Friel and Hannagraaff's statements about such basic topics such as death. Hannagraaf is actually, depending on how you perceive it, either funny, or, pathetic. He clearly doesn't believe what God says about death in His Word the Bible. It's so simple that it's sad.
What about what the Bible says about death is not correct? I continually search for false doctrine and would like to hear you opinion on where you believe them to be in error. Thank you.

Is healing biblical? You need to listen to Todd bently's message called SOZO. Check out Voice of healing days, Smith Wigglesworth.
Did Jesus heal people?
Did Jesus Diciples Heal people?
Did Jesus tell his diciples to heal the sick?
Are we in 2008, Diciples of Jesus?
Is Healing in the Atonement?
Why Was Jesus Body whipped and beaten?
WOTM is such a good course to learn when it comes to street evangelism, it's just a pity that they critise other parts of Christ Body

Good job bro, even the very basis for this and similar movements are at odds with the word of God. They preach a different Jesus, a different Gospel.
