  • Nice job. Don't fly too far away though as the CX2 stock radio is limited in range.

  • cool project

  • what prop did you use, what parts did you buy other than the cx2?

  • lol "bigger rudder fixes all" indeed..

After 10 years (and only 2 of flying and quite separated) i decided to enlarge my glider's rudder and worked out quite well..quite more responsive now.. also i trimmed it do "pitch down" as advised by other RC pilots and it worked quite well..more stable flight

  • Nice Subie........cool plane too.

  • How many servos did you use because it looked like you had 3, alerons and elevator. great layout. I hate just elevator and rudder!

  • do u have a spar? try a wood dowel

  • ha ha ha, had me fooled, fool me once shame of me, fool me twice shame on ahhh what was i saying?

  • What video package did you use to 'stable-ize' the video image?

    Enjoyed the vid BTW.

  • Thanks!, I used Sony Vegas 8.0 for video editor, Now I could tell you how I stable-ized the video :) Could say I had datalog some gyro's and run a home brewed script to "shift" video around. Or I could say I sat there each frame and did it with my mouse (30 frames per second multiplyed by 30 seconds of video be 900 frames edited).

    Thanks agian!

  • oh and do u know where i can get a saprate motor for the flaps?

  • motor for flaps? i have servos for the aerolons if thats what u mean

  • yas but wher can i buy then and how did u cut out the hole for the battarey?

  • buy servos from any hobby store, there cheap now days and super small, to cut the foam i used a screw driver, knife, gas torch, etc....

  • hey guys i love your idea but i dont have a blade cx2. instead i have an old rc system with two motors. i will use that but how did u cut out the hole for the battarey? thats my problem

  • That is amazing. I tried doing that, but gave up... I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong... I pretty much had everything the CX2 has. I used the same setup you had. I used 6 inch props and a 4.5 foot wingspan glider. I think i had a bad glider maybe... That or the battery... What size prop did you guys use? and how did you mount the motors on?

  • the problem with your setup is the props are to big, I used i think a 5 inch? prop off a small twin plane design, the gliders wing span is somewhere in the 4 foot area, not sure. Keep trying, you can always use rockets :P

  • first, thank you for responding back.

I thought so too. I was thinking 4 inch props. Well... I purchases a load of legos to make a ship/ hovercraft combo... so i'll send you a vid of that when im done. I'll try that glider idea again later when I get more funds for another receiver/gyro/ESC for the CX2 and 2 motors and another servo.

So how did you attach the motors on? Seems like you used screws and aluminum? I just used tape... haha
