You didn't buy an ability at level 8. I believe you bought a morale ability which will appear on your morale bar once you get to a high enough morale level - You gain morale through combat to unleash powerfull abilities etc. Or so I believe!

If you want to play as Engineer or Squig Herder I'd recommend that you should start playing when the new patch is released (1.05), since that will greatly increase the greatness of the non-magic ranged dps classes.

I've played wow for 3 years, i know the game play, i know how to play, I know everything, yes i have the best gear, but anyways, WAR is nothing, like WoW, the graphics may "look" alike, but no, WAR looks more real and 3d to me, lvl 40 is different than 70(soon 80) the abilitys is way different, tatics, moral, 100% different, Anyone who thinks War is another WoW, your dead wrong. War is not the new WoW, it is the new DAoC!! Compare War to DAoC and not WoW, thank you and rock on War!
This class looks pretty awesome, and i love that gyrocopter noise wouldnt bother me (i've had a helicopter in WoW since the day i could so im used to annoying sound :P)
There is another reason that the UI looks an awful lot like WoW. In fact, there's a reason MMOs tend to look alike. It's the same reason many FPS games tend to look alike. This setup is exceptionally streamlined and useful in accomplishing what an MMO wants to do. MMOs will look like WoW for a long time until something radically new comes out that works better.
Fantasy games tend to look alike, MMOs will tend to look alike, and so any differences will be in feel and gameplay.
WoW itself didnt copy anything from WAR, however, the lore of Warcraft is taken partially from Warhammer (which is where the series essentially comes from). Obviously, it developed quite differently but of course, WoW and WAR are going to have some similarities cause well, there MMOS :P.
D&D and Warhhamer got the idea of fantasy of lotr.

The fact that UI looks alot like WAR is because Mythic helped Blizzard go live with WoW. The original UI WoW wanted to do was to complicated and they had to get rid of it.

Hmm that sounds interesting. So the Grenadier has AoE type attacks, splash damage I think it's being called? Does he also get any melee attacks? I have heard there's like a wrench swipe attack that slows the target, like a hamstring. I think I like that so far. Is there a strongest spec right now?
I thought I wanted to play an engineer, I love volley attacks, traps, mines etc. but I heard they are more stationary because of turrets? I really want to be able to move around on the battlefield, and not have to be stuck guarding captured objectives while most everyone moves on. Just judging from the events in WoW like AV, I know it's a winning strategy, but no one wants to be stuck by default. Waiting around for the enemy.
I hear tinkerer uses less turrets? Is that a more mobile "spec"?

if they realize it for mac then ill give it a try. if they dont then they dont care about gamers on another operating system and that just shows they cant code on a advanced operating system.

Jesus kid, at least make an argument. Runescape is plain shit so don't bring that up. Anyways, this game has a shot of being played along with WoW. Honestly, I had more fun in the beta then I've had in a long time with WoW.

the whole runescape thing was a joke but im not saying it might not be better it just doesnt look that good. graphics arnt that good. UI is same as wow. characters are like wow. its just another WoW.

btw I don't see how you can compare war characters to wow characters,beside the names nothing else is the same.. and plz take in consideration that beta ran on low settings. I don't how know it will look in the end, but wow showed that if gamplay fits to a wide audience gfxs do not really matter..

Why do wow players dont get that when wow was created, blizz took that times "best of the best" and put into their game. Did u get it they "took" so they copied from other MMOs. Blizz has ruined wow in the burning crusade and maybe wrath of the lich king will help but wow suck right now!!!

The Warhammer tabletop series/lore came long before online games were even made, rethink your sentence a bit mate.

actually wow stole from war. war is 25 years old. wow was supposed to be war but something happened between the 2 companies and they split, blizzard took all the ideas from war and made wow.

o rly? well, although it may be true that warhammer came before wow, it doesnt necessarily mean that warcraft stole the idea from them, warcraft was in the major video game business before warhammer, Also, where did you hear that war was supposed to be wow, since when have blizzard and games workshop been together, and then split apart for that matter, i think you dont know what your talking about.

actualy u both got it wrong! blizzard wanted to create warhammer but couldnt get the legal rights for it so they created warcraft which was a little "inspired" from warhammer (but not stolen)! srry 4 my bad english :P

i read that they had started work on warhammer but the agreement between blizzard and hammer fell through, so blizz continued with the then hammer game changing it to WoW, I am waffling now, still pissed, ciao

Hmm that sounds interesting. So the Grenadier has AoE type attacks, splash damage I think it's being called? Does he also get any melee attacks? I have heard there's like a wrench swipe attack that slows the target, like a hamstring. I think I like that so far. Is there a strongest spec right now?

I thought I wanted to play an engineer, I love volley attacks, traps, mines etc. but I heard they are more stationary because of turrets? I really want to be able to move around on the battlefield, and not have to be stuck guarding captured objectives while most everyone moves on. Just judging from the events in WoW like AV, I know it's a winning strategy, but no one wants to be stuck by default. Waiting around for the enemy.
I hear tinkerer uses less turrets? Is that a more mobile "spec"?
