  • Is this the women who sings the song in the PInk Panther?

  • to chessor11---- no. the woman that sang this song in the movie "the pink panther" was fran jeffries. i believe that fran jeffries was a non-italian.

  • Yeah, it was Fran Jeffries who sang this in the movie "The Pink Panther." Fran was sexy as hell, and sang this song with more passion.

  • to jsbach15----- from what i remember, fran jeffries played no other part in "the pink panther" aside from singing "meglio stasera". i love the part where she grabs clouseau as her dance partner. i get the feeling that sellers was nowhere near as awkward as his clouseau character.

----------- in case someone is wondering, the german word "bach" has the same roots as the english word "beck", yet the word "beck" is usually replaced by the word "brook" or "stream".

  • Fran Jeffries Played a singer in A shot in the dark as well!

  • to fuddcar----- i didn't know that fran jeffries sang in "a shot in the dark". i suppose she sang the song that had the words "shadows of paris" in it. it was at the opening of the movie, before they did the cartoon part that featured the wordless music that was later used in the cartoon tv segment called "the inspector" or maybe you mean she played a singer that was shown in the movie. the opening song was done without showing the singer. i think i'll try to find out.

  • I read it on Wikipedia I think! Or one of the link's from there.

I assumed she was a niteclub singer from when the inspector was nite club hopping with the maid. I haven't seen it since. they have it at the library and I requested it. still waiting. I'll keep ya posted!

  • wikipedia mentions fran jeffries singing in "a shot in the dark", yet i didn't see it mention what part she did. all this talk about "a shot in the dark" reminds me that it was one of the funniest movies involving inspector clouseau. a few minutes ago, i saved as a favorite the scene where an unseen singer sings "shadows of paris". it's a great song, and goes well with the things happening on the video portion of the movie.

  • I agree, this wasn't a bad version, but Fran's was a lot more passionate and magical with an alluring air about her.

  • and...Angela Antonelli is Ukrainian. lol

  • Thanks for posting this! Angie is my aunt so this was great to see!

  • she is really good it reminds of the scene from the pink panther.

  • Angela has been getting some acting gigs on National TV recently. You still got it Angela! I feel that Inspector Clouseau is in the audience.
