the airport was more exciting back in the day. TAP was the best way to fly back then since they had the best pilots and the runway really seperated the good from the great. It's a lot better for those feint of heart now lol.

Very beautiful. I want to visit Madeira with my mum, but she´s afraid of local airport. It says it´s quite short and landing is danger. It´s nonsense, on Madeira are landing many planes every day, but I don´t know how I satisfy her of it. :-) And sorry for my English, I´m Czech. :-)

@FurtSUsmevem1 My friend i live here and i must tell you that our airport landing its not that large in fact its very small but that doesn´t mean its insecure..in fact i´ve never seen any crash or problems about it,and like you mentioned above,every day hundreds of planes arrive here with no problems...Our island is beautiful the weather is unbelievable,you´ll find every kind of nature,if you come you will be amazed and defenitely overjoyed
