This song is so beautiful...but it makes me cry because my father wants to get a separation with my mother...just because...i don't even no...he is a soldier..always away...and when it turned to be good, he destroied it...i feel horrible...

thanks...you know...people are strange...once they are quareeling about nothing and then...everything is normal. I don't understand. now they are again together laughing, talking and so...my dad's attitude changed a little bit as he feels guilty...anyway, thx:)

fortunally for me,my father is alive and very healthy. i love him so much,he is the person i love best in my life,i hope he dies after me,like 100 years from now haha, i seriously just couldnt live without him and my mother.I like my sister too of course,but my parents means more than my life to me.

Ohmygosh...i can just tell this song will make me cry every time i listen to it.. My father left b4 i was born :)...I will never know why he left but this song sortof explains it.

this song contains sucha a powerful story. and just to say to most parents gender isn't important but sometimes a man wants someone to carry his family name. that's not what this song is about but someone asked that so i hoped i helped. again powerful, realistic, and sad story

Im commented on this song so much but i love it. It was enough when my grandpa died, and my grandma called and said aid she got a new house. she sounded so much better. its been almost a year since then. i feel better too. death is such a weird thing, and it brings so muhc sorrow.

Im trying not to cry because my sister has friends over...But i miss my grandpa.... Before he died, when he was healthy, he told me dont cry because we were leaving. Then he said "You`ll see me again" and i never did.... I hate the word cancer. I hate smoking. He died last year on Christmas Eve... This one i will never be the same.... :'(

I can relate. My nana, she died last year on the 14th. It made christmas so hard, i cant even imagine it happening christmas eve. She had a heart attack, and they said shed get better so i went out with friends insted of taking to her on the phone. She dident make it through the night, it was so hard

its about isaacs granddad leaving his mam when she was a few years old, and he didnt think it was fair on his mam...by the lyrics id also say that his grandad wanted a son and wasnt happy when isaacs mam was born, hope that explains it :) love this song x

This reminds me of my father... Now that i listen to this song. I think all he ever wanted was a son. He watched me grow up for 3 yrs. Got my mother pregnant once more. Another girl it was. When he found out. He left. Today my father has a 4yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy i think. He got his wish. While i sit back and suffer. I guess im happy that hes happy. I just wish he coulda been there for me. The worst part is. is that i remember him leaving that day. I ♥ the fray

I love this song! I was slightly disappointed when they didn't play in at their concert in Mountain View, CA at the Shoreline Amphitheater. Other than that it was an amazing concert.
