NIce version from Kim but Martha has her stamp on this song. I guess because Martha might've been going through something personally and was able to bring the song to life.
The beauty of Motown was hearing versions of songs by different artists. Singing lessons: if you can't do this , then do that . LOL! Seriously , thanks for this one; hadn't heard it before.
Kim's softer version does grow on one...both singers are incredibly great and quite a listening experience unlike any other...not making them like this anymore!!!
Kim is fantastic...but Martha Reeves really knocked this one out of the park! A little more grittier than Kim. But Kim Weston is still one of the greatest voices of all time IMHO.
Kim usually makes the definitive version of any song she tackles and listening through youtube this is the case song after song...Kim is awesome but this song really belongs to Martha!
I don't know what Martha Reeves was going through when she recorded this tune, but she ROCKED IT! Martha's soulful regret in this song is timeless. Kim sounds grand, but Martha make me feel like the precious memories REALLY made her cry!
Kim certainly does the song justice, putting her heart into it, but I grew up with the original which is one of my all time favourite love songs, so will never be bettered. I quite often sing it to my hubby when he's getting on my t??ts. I do like this though. Thanks for posting, not heard it before.
best song ever.

I love Kim, but I'm sorry this song has Martha's DNA all over it!

This is my first time hearing Kim's version. I definitely prefer her vocal over Martha's & Diana's. She just melts all over the melody.

Martha tore into this song. Kim's version is nice and Diana's is ok. Have to give the five star to Martha Reeves another soul mama.
