This is the beginning of their story. It isn't Bridgette and Ginger from modern day back in that time period. It's two girls from that time period in that time period.
@WHOhasFaLL3n Actually, Ginger and Bridgette were in 1850 in the first movie. Bridgette kills Ginger but also infects herself. Bridgette then becomes immortal pretty much, and lives until that year. She can only die by force, not old age. Did this help?

The movie is at least PG-13, has a lot of violence and blood, and lots of death as well. Not appropriate for children.
