but its cool to get mad and act like your 5 when u dont agree with people that why there is war murder greed and all the sin because your parents did not teach u better then oh here no morals for u so when u grow up your mad at god and act like he is not there. there would be no point if god let everyone know he was there the point of life if to find him and if your to proud to see him then your as dumb as satan his sin was pride and greed .
also people started turning to gain power by going in to the goverment and steal twist thing to what they want it there also are history books that say that demons and angles are real every country knows there is a god every country thought there was so sort of god out there most of the smartest people in the world past preset and future think there is.
the point in life if faith nothing else with out faith there is no hope and also evolution goes along with the big bang theory wich says life is an accident that were not spose to be here at all and if u do not know evil men put them self in to religion when the crusades were because not man born with out blood of a king or so forth can not gain power they us history books and other such texts to get what they want money power other stuff
also cancer is a man maid problem most cancers are made for poisons in food and drinks that dont kill people right ways it makes cancer slowly 2 high fructose corn syrup u are not aloud u have or high acids when u have cancer because it make it spread so what does that tell u and the bible tells u people are not maid all knowing or all powerful we are made in gods image not as him .
people are dumb and dont chose to trust in good because they dont want to if u give a drunk money for food will he use it on food when he is starving no he uses alch or drugs to fill in the gaps in his life.
evolution say nothing can come from nothing and logic says so the big bang theory say a magic bang happened then a reaction of energy makes life so how could it make none living things wich and it also says it need a living virus germ or other to react with said energy to make new life so ya
now if saying that it is impossible for God to not exist because of the fact that the bible sounds like a fairy tale. it is also quite rediculous for kelly to say that we exist in our made up dreams in our minds just beacuse we know we exist. so fine. hey kelly. i know i exist cause GOD exists!
Hi, I from Norway (like the guy mentions). We are a very christian Country indeed. We have churches dated back 1000 years for public to attend. Our laws our based on the bible, we were taught christianity in religion class more than any of the other religions. There's more churches than any other tempel or mosque. There are christian people who lead our country, and it's supported on television. So it is misrepresentative that norway was not "religious"!From a norwegian
Brian is not being intellectually honest. He has the audacity to quote a statement by Sam Harris that Unites States is the most religious society but yet, we have the highest rates of homicide, abortion, teen pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases. Was it not the "religious" ignorant citizens who were speaking against the rising rate of homicides, opposing laws against abortion that non-religious voters desired to see passed, opposed teen sex, condoned abstinence and the dangers of STD's?
@conkpit then how do you explain priests who are deemed so holy? they are sexually repressed and have been known to be pedophiles. often times they rape children.
@conkpit Actually he is being brutally honest here in saying that despite all the religious influence in the US, it is not helping its current situation. There are atheists who are both pro-life and pro-choice, who are saddened by homicides, opposed to teen sex, and also condone abstinence and knowledge of STDs. You don't have to be religious to have the same opinions on the issues you describe. That very separation you just made is what is holding progress back in your country.
In the US there are roughly 3-4 million atheists. Wouldn't you think that if all the other 250-270 million religious people in the US were actively speaking out against all these issues that they would have been resolved by now or perhaps laws would have been passed that rule in your favor? Perhaps these issues are being acted on but your solutions are not working. Perhaps you should look at other countries are determine what policies are working religion aside.
@Xdsin100 I agree who heartedly with you. I have no objections to finding solutions that work in a society--religious or non-religious. But for Brian and Sam Harris to blame the ills of America solely on religion is not being honest to the debate. As I stated earlier, the very problems that exists in America are problems that many religious groups have spoken up about time and time again.
I'm confused about Kerry's statement of cultural projections about God. When asked earlier about whether any good has come out of atheistic societies she responded by saying communistic and atheistic governments are considered religious systems because they were worshiped by the people. If God is based on the physical only, as she now claims, then it would assume to me, she should accept any government authority as God.
@conkpit no she did not say that about the governments. She said that communistic governments are not atheistic governments and should not be considered the same. They should not be compared because for one, Hilter was a catholic and they are not bad people, Stalin may have been an atheist but he abolished religion to gain power and worship from his people like a god which supports Kerry's statement. Atheism is not a religion and the acts of one atheist should not be cast upon all atheists.
Ill rationalize the statement about About America being so religious yet so full of death and crime and Porn - Well I think the church is not really using the bible but the parts that they want and in this case it would be better for people to follow the ten commandments rather than be religious. There would be no crime no pain from rape or starving people because the comandment to love thy neighbor as theyself is a direct comand to help people Who needs so much money it only brings more probs?
He is quoting SAM HARRIS, what a moron. Watch William Craigs debate with Sam Harris and you will see how weak and boring his arguments are.
Sweden is a secular nation founded on christian values. State and Church are separated in essence. Saying that sweden is an atheist country is not only wrong but way out deception of the public. Sweden wouldnt be as it is without the christian foundation. We are just secular in our attitude, free speech and belief you know.
I am from Norway, which is a very secular country. HOWEVER, Norways culture, law-system along with everything else here is built on christianity and biblical values! That is why it has become one of the best countries in the world... All Norwegians would agree
@Petriealright No they wouldn't, you are born into the church and you get out. The only time people actually go to church there is on Christmas, I have plenty of Scandy friends and they all agree. Even if your comment were true, you would still have to explain the other nations and why the nations with such high rates of believers have horrible demographics.
@Petriealright Well, they might believe that statement but it seems that the attitude of most Northern Europeans are resentful that Christianity was forced apon them. But I'm not an expert on the matter.
@murderousbastard83 Absolutely. the majority in Norway are not christians. But Norway (and sweden and denmark I believe) are built upon the bible and christian values, and that is a fact. Had it been another way Norway might not have been such a good country as the guy in the video described. ;)
Come on kirk let's keep up. Those quotes were a continuation of the question posed from the audience about 15 minutes prior to your letting the room know you can't keep up with a conversation. The question was, and I'm paraphrasing, show me evidence that atheism can be a good thing in a country. Nothing to do with god existing, just a little bit of proof that you don't need an ancient book full of errors to derive a good society from.
@Traumarituel dude you're an idiot, point blank. No one died on the cross?! There multiple accounts of crucifixions, secular historians even say so, it's been documented and artifacts have been found. Open up a history book, once you wipe that egg off your face.
@DetJohnKimble100 First, I do relize I jumped to conclusions by assuming you were an athiest. However, athiests are bitter, just by watching this video. The athiests in this debate never smiled or laughed unless they were insulting god. I can say athiests are hypocritical because of what you said. You related colors to christians and athiests. Your saying christians don't like athiests. That is false, we don't like what they believe, but the bible teaches us to love them. I
@Godbtheglory1 I AM SORRY to tell you.But God was never in the USA.You only have the illusion of '''having'''' God with you. Remember:::: God bless the whole world,no exceptions!
@Godbtheglory1 YES...............God is in the whole universe. And not only in the USA.God is a universal entity ,this means God belong to the whole world, and God bless the world.Aside from the Jews,God loves not only the USA but all humanity
@Traumarituel You must be in the US - come on up to Canada and you'll smile more of your waking moments :) I can't ever remember being in a social situation (except maybe with my great grandmother) where I felt I'd be judged or condescended towards if I expressed my atheistic views. You're allowed to believe pretty much what you want up here in your everyday life. As an added bonus - we have separation of Church and State :) PS Bring your parka.
@StevenBee2"..we have separation of Church and State :)"
Canada persecutes people for criticizing religions, or criticizing others based on religious beliefs. Policing thought and speech either to protect a religion, or to defend against a religion's beliefs is a mingling of Church & State. Whatever Church the State likes can be defended, whatever Church it doesn't can be persecuted. USA neither establishes (State) religions nor prohibits freedom of worship and speech, even unpopular criticism.
@pewtoobe In my 33 years in Canada it has not been my experience that what you're saying is true. Your opinion may come from your interpretation of the difference between Free Speech in Canada & the US. Although freedom of speech is important and a strongly held value of Canadians, our laws do have stricter restrictions on "hate" speech than the US does.
@pewtoobe Sorry but I have lived in Canada all my life and do not agree with what you have said. Canada prosecutes against Discrimination against religion. So if I was someone who hated Muslims and I walked up to one and verbally assualted them by saying, "You are dirty towel head and Allah is Satan!" I can be prosecuted for what I said to that person. However, I can approach the same person and say, "I don't agree with these aspects of your religion..." and criticize aspects of their religion..
@pewtoobe and having a meaningful conversation with that individual where that individual can choose to continue or remove themselves from the conversation. However if you are verbally assaulting this person, you are not giving them that option and not only is that illegal, it can be intensified if it can be proven to be a hate crime. In both Canada and the US you can exercise freedom of speech but you can also be held accountable to it. For Example...
If someone in the US says to someone, "I am going to kill you!" The person that says that statement can be held accountable for issuing a death threat. Freedom of Speech is not the right to say whatever the hell you want to anyone and have no accountability or responsibility to it. In fact, Freedom of Speech holds you accountable to what you say because whatever comes out of your mouth is of your own mind and holds value (good or bad) and is not instilled by Government.
haha...the last line from kirk is like saying that the most filthy and bad people on earth are going to heaven while the most healthiest and good will go in hell...i'm gonna kill someone then :D
RELIGION IS JUST A SLAVED BRAIN WASHING TOOL TO MAKE PUPPETS OUT OF PEOPLE TO GIVE LEADERS POWER OF WORSHIP MONEY BY A CULT ORGANIZED RELIGION! But i am a christian and set free from obligations and chains of abuse from religion telling me what i can a i cant do i have free will and i chose to love GOD and Jesus personally all my study in the bible is that it is a personal relationship i have with GOD not with religious leaders using me as a puppet i love it that's why i love Jesus! he the man
@cocopuffs00 Ummmm....so you love Jesus but don't follow his commandments? Because if thats the case,he says in the bible that those who love him follow his commandments.Thats what the Christian statutes and morals have been set from. So you can't have it both ways. I am an agnostic. So I'm not trying to correct your beliefs. Just informing you of what the bible states. And the bible says that you should assemble in the churches. Either its a building or just a group of likeminded believers.
@Traumarituel i see that when people give up religion, they have their strings cut from the marionettes controller and can live their lives how they want
@Retarrrrrdo That doesn't mean we become immoral. I live my life as the dictator of my own life. But I still treat others as I would want to be treated.
What does a generalization about a country have to do with anything? Just because someone says they believe in God, does not automatically mean that they follow His moral code. He did answer that guy's question, but with that, the question was kind of pointless to the topic at hand. I am sure there are very good, friendly, moral atheists in this world, and very bad "religous" people in this world.
For broad is the way to destruction, but narrow is the path to everlasting life and few will find it's way. Just because God is not predominate in countries does not make it right. Shall the creator of the earth do that which is right? Your argument does not hold ground. The more you try to disprove the bible, the more you end up proving it.
@SCUBAJAY316 ACTUALLY....the more you read the bible and compare it to reality the more it disproves itself. You need to become more thorough in the passages you read and study them in their unaltered texts. That scripture you mentioned is evil. Thats like saying God created the MAJORITY of us to fail. Since he is OMNICIENT,and knows all of our choices before we make them. That means he still allowed me to live KNOWING that I would end up in hell. Why make me then?
@bluesith I've lost love ones to cancer, including my mother, recently. No one is debating cancer, not even the woman here. Is someone saying cancer is good? Did someone say cancer wasn't suffering? The woman was talking like someone who did lose someone. Look at her, she's so emotional about cancer she can't contain herself. Just like you can't contain your insults of people. She just doesn't accept that a perfect loving being would create life that has this DNA replication issue. That's all.
@CheckAllFrequencies My sincere apologies and condolences for your lost. I know firsthand that it hurts.
But I don't feel that this woman was hurting over a loss. She was asking "scientific questions" not asking about suffering. I might be wrong, but that is how I felt when I watched it.
A loving God does not give people cancer. Cancer is a result of man's fallen state.
You may also chose to not believe this, that's ok.
@bluesith Thank you. You have my best wishes dealing with you loss as well.
Personally, she looks like she's going to feint mid-question in my opinion. Take a look at her again, and she seems angry and sad at the same time.
What I want you to know is there is another side of the coin. For people who don't believe in God, it makes them angry when someone says "God has a plan" and "God is all love" when we've lost someone so close to us from something like cancer. I'm sure you can understand.
@CheckAllFrequencies You maybe right about her, or i maybe right. We'll never know unless we meet her and ask her I guess..lol!
I can understand your point about the other side of the coin. Even as a believer I hated hearing "God has a plan" and "God is love". I don't have simple answers.
I do agree that Christians can also be pr!cks too. No one is perfect.
Since I'm almost out of space I'll continue this in the next post..
@CheckAllFrequencies (..continue) Let's say for sake of argument that there is a creator and that He cared for His handy work. We are set free within the creation.
We have free will. I don't think that the Creator takes pleasure in seeing us all go through cr@p. Like a parent watching their child suffer. The flip side of this is that if their is a creator, then their may also be His adversary, the Devil. But the Creator made a way out for us through the Cross of Jesus. I'm not a Christian (cont)
@CheckAllFrequencies (cont 2) I'm not a Christian, But I believe in the Creator. I'm very much against the Western organized Christian church. I think they have done a lot of damage. But I'm not the one who can stop them. So I focus on getting to know who the Creator is. I'm not perfect. I don't have all the answers. I don't dismiss evolution completely. I'd just like to have a non-hateful conversation about it. I know I said nasty things, but that was after being insulted a lot.
@CheckAllFrequencies I think that when dealing with an issue like cancer people should be more sensitive. We would not make light of things like the Holocaust. So why play around with this issue?
No matter what the reason behind cancer, it's suffering. A spiritual person would naturally try to deal with the persons' emotional side to help them cope through the ordeal. But what ever get's you through it.
@CheckAllFrequencies Why do you assume Spiritual people (or Christians) claim to be perfect. push anyone enough and we'll eventually push back. Seriously read all the comments on this video series and see how many atheists make fun and insult Kirk Camron and other Believers for simply having a different opinion then their own. But I make an insulting statement towards atheists and they all go crying like a bunch of panzy school girls! I don't claim to be better. I just claim a different belief.
@bluesith Because what is the point of religion, spirituality etc. if it doesn't make you a better person? If it can't lift you above these people and bring you a sense of peace, then what does this spirituality grant you? Christians claim a personal relationship with God, not just that he exists. Where is God's affect on you?
Kirk Cameron brings out pictures of "crockaducks" or whatever, and completely strawmans evolution. That is going to get you ridicule.
@CheckAllFrequencies Perhaps you are not crying, but many atheists are ticked off over my comment, so be it! I don't care. And where is it written that Christianity makes you a better person. I think many Christians are crooks. I also think other people in other religions are also crooks. Just as Atheists can be crooks. People are people! It's that simple, some are good, some are bad. I know there is a Creator God. My spiritual walk is to get to know Him.I might one day be better for it, or not
@bluesith I only noticed it because it has so many thumbs up and it's the top of the page. If the opposite comment was at the top of the page, I'm sure you would have something to say. It's quite a profane comment that misrepresents evolution.
How did you come to knowledge about there being a creator? Do you really know this, or do you just want it to be true? Our fear of death is inescapable. What was it like before we were born? I have no reason to think it won't be like that after I die.
@CheckAllFrequencies My discovery of the Creator was not based on wishful thinking. i studied science and found it to be very complex. It seem to imply Intelligent design. But I know implying is not enough. My real "revelation came when I had a life after death experience. I had drowned and was declared dead. I was gone for over 15 minutes and I came back. I saw the other side. It is real. I had seen Hell and then I was brought back by Jesus.
@CheckAllFrequencies I know you can laugh at my story. I honestly don't care. But i know there is more then just this physical dimension. Earlier you said that perhaps it was just my own wishful thinking. That's a fair assessment. But I can say the same about your comment of death being no different then before you were born. But that does not mean that I disrespect your opinion.
If science is truly the search for truth then it must examine every possible avenue.
@CheckAllFrequencies Please do not project your own preconceived ideas of what a Christian is. But I don't blame you. Christians have done a good job at advertising how they should be. then they go and break it. I've not seen the "Croco-duck" thing. I might have laughed at that myself. But then I also laughed at the "proof" of the Nabraska-man that turned out to be a pig's tooth.
What I did see is a lot of put downs by Atheists on all the videos.
@bluesith But, how do you know it was a hoax? Because science has built in peer review. This and the other hoaxes mentioned during this debate is proof of how science roots out hoaxes. This is a success story of science, not a failure. Scientists are people themselves and have all sorts of individual motives, and some have tried to use hoaxes to get fame, but they will be revealed. Religious texts and artifacts suffer the same problem, people create hoaxes for their own self-interests.
But just as Science as rooted out hoaxes, and proven many established scientific laws. So to has the Bible proven itself. I know this can be another entire topic, so i don't want to get too much into it. But many of the prophecies (like Israel becoming a nation in one day) have come true.
I'm just trying to say that it is possible for Science and a Creator God to co-exist. It's organized religion that is messing everything up.
You know, people like this make me sad. These people who don't believe in God try everything they can to believe something different. But I'm glad to say that Jesus is my saviour!! GOD MADE ME!!!! =)
@bluesith You are right, two wrongs do NOT make a right so why are you engaging in the same silliness?? Stop generalizing all atheist....your comments are absolutely ridiculous...I find any generalization from both sides disgusting and narrow minded.....
@webncyber Nice try. This is the problem with the internet. Sweden does not have the most high rate of suicides, did you even look up the data? They are number #35 for males and #23 for females in 2005 among reporting countries. Not only that, but how do you know how the lack of sunlight in the Winter in Sweden effects depression? Lack of sunlight has been shown to increase depression. Ask yourself, what other myths do you believe that you haven't look into yourself?
@bluesith Oh and here's one for your "Extremely religious Japan theory"
"About 70 percent of Japanese profess no religious membership, according to Johnstone (1993:323), 84% of the Japanese claim no personal religion. And according to Demerath (2001:138), 64% do not believe in God, and 55% do not believe in Buddha."
Oh and on top of that Buddhist tend to be atheist. Atheism is simply a lack of belief or disbelief of a god or gods, and Buddha wasn't a god.
@TheNorthFuck So you're going to argue Japan with me! Have you ever been to Japan? Are you Japanese?
People can use statistics to "prove" anything.
All Japanese are Buddhists and Shinto at the same time. This is how we find balance and harmony.
We often say we are not religious because Shinto is not a religion but a way of life we accept since we are young. We do not believe in "the Buddha" , we simply live by Zen philosophy.
The modern movement away from this has lead to high suicide rate
@TheNorthFuck That is correct, we Japanese, when asked, do not claim to be religious. Yet we pray to ancestors and other gods, will go to Shinto shrines to offer prayer for good luck with school tests or job promotions, We all take a week off every year to honor the dead, the celebration is called Obon and is very religious. Every holiday we celebrate has spiritual connections.
Even Sumo is spiritual
We practice spirituality, we just don't claim to be religious.
@TheSuperWanderer We Japanese are spiritual. Every Spring we toss rice to fend off evil spirits. We offer (paper) prayer to the gods for success in the new year. In the Summer each town or area has a celebration when men carry a shrine to honor the gods of that area.
I can go on and on.
We are very spiritual, just not "religious" in the Western sense.
You should actually study or visit a place before claiming to know everything about it.
@TheSuperWanderer Just look up "Does God Not Exist", there are actually a few Muslim and Atheist debates you can see on YouTube. You'll notice the name of the debate seems to put the burden of proof on the Atheist. The Muslim group participating would not debate "Does God Exist" because they do not want the burden of proof to be on them, even though they have the positive claim.
@bluesith you are absolutely wright because behind the scene satin using people to attack the gospel because satin knows that's the only way for salvation of the human souls
@webncyber Seriously, man, do you think Satan is spelled satin? You did it twice. Perhaps you should read the Bible a little closer, you seem to be missing some important details.
If your claim is true, and you have no basis for it in reality, why then does God allow a war against him to take place? Why would a God that is pure love and all powerful allow Satan to deceive billions of people? How is it that Satan can even wage a war against God? I doubt you have a satisfactory answer.
@bluesith And if you cracked open a book every once in a while you would know that atheist do attack the Muslim and Buddhist religion. Christopher Hitchens' book "God Is Not Great" Has an entire chapter negatively talking about Buddhism alone and it's brought up several other times throughout the book. And in fact in that same book he talk more about Islam than he does Christianity.
Average American atheist tend to argue with Christians exclusively because it's the religion they know best.
@TheNorthFuck I'm not sure how a Muslim can debate an Atheists in a book? I'm sure the Atheists had a good time bashing the Muslims, but that is not a debate.
My original post wanted to see an Atheists with enough balls to debate a Muslim in person. It's easy to debate a Christian because they will always show love. Muslims do love others, but they will defend their religion more strongly and Atheists know it.
Maybe if you took your nose out of books and actually looked at life you might learn
@bluesith "It's easy to debate a Christian because they will always show love."
And what sh-it have you been smoking???? Christians have committed some of the worst atrocities on record! Yeah, there are plenty of "good" christians and there are plenty of Christians who have committed HORRIBLE CRIMES against humanity! How many atheists do you know would be willing to murder a doctor who performs an abortion?? Oh yeah, it takes a CHRISTIAN to do that!
@cutis1000 You know there is a difference between a religious fanatic and a regular persons practicing a faith. 9/11 was blamed on a fanatical group, by your logic, then all Muslims are responsible for 9/11.
By that logic, if an Atheists kills someone are all Atheists murders?
Or perhaps think of it this way; I love animals, but that does not make me a member of PETA.
The Catholic church has committed the worst monstrosities, I agree. But they are NOT true Christians.
@bluesith You're side stepping the question that I posed. Atheists don't kill over the idea of Atheism. A christian will kill in the name of Christianity. BIG DIFFERENCE.
@cutis1000 you're not understanding what I'm trying to say; the existence of a Creator is very different then organized religions. World leaders will manipulate and use any religion for their advantage. Hitler is a good example of this. He played the religion card to gain power (people are sheeple). Yet Hitler killed in the name of Darwinism (remember his speeches about Jews being a sub-species). By your reasoning I could say all Atheist are murders because of Hitler. I don't think that is logic
@cutis1000 I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm just trying to illustrate a point that most people often fail to see; that organized religion and a creator are two different things. We can't blame Henry Ford because a bunch of people drive foolishly and kill others. That was their own stupidity, not Henry Fords. The same with Religions and God.
I hate religion and I spend most of my time fighting it. I think they do more damage then good.
But their actions don't change my belief in a creator.
@bluesith Henry Ford is not claiming to be perfect. It's fine to claim that man is fallen and imperfect, but this is a religious claim. If not religion, what convinces you we are created? When we've looked at the Earth it's undeniable across many sciences that the Earth is quite old, and there is no single time in history that fully formed creatures just appeared where none were before. As we go back in time, life gets simpler and simpler, but complex life doesn't just pop up out of nowhere.
@CheckAllFrequencies You are correct. Complex life does not just "pop out of nowhere" I'm not following a religious dogma or tradition, but I do believe that life comes from intelligent design. I just think that our current science is not advanced enough to detect the designer. Since we live in one particular dimension that is enclosed by time, our minds cannot comprehend a creator that exists outside of time. Eternal means no beginning and no end.
@bluesith Okay, well my point is that if life was created, it would have appeared at one point in time fully formed. We would see no evidence of life in one strata, and then fully formed fossils in the next. We do not see this. We see gradual increases in complexity over time. Either creation is working through a process like evolution, or God is trying to trick us. From your previous comments I know how you feel about evolution.
@CheckAllFrequencies To be honest. If people could stop bugging me with the cancer lady's retard statement, then I'd love to have a civil conversation.
Yes I believe in a Creator being behind intelligent design. I think that perhaps that Creator can use evolution. Personally I believe in Micro-evolution, but I don't fully dismiss the possibility of full evolution. I just grow tired of being insulted for the fact that I believe in a Creator. And I'm tired of "Straw-man" tactics being defended
@cutis1000 Stalin said "There is no God." Lot's of killing in Russia at that time.
Chairman Mao of China said "religion is the opium of the people". He did not like god or any religion so he banned them. Many people were massacred in the name of his movement.
This can viewed as an Atheist action, but I don't hold every atheist the same as Mao or Stalin (or Chinese and Russians)
You have to learn to look at the whole picture and not generalize. Mad men say whatever for to fool the people.
@TheMappyHappy Please, would you stop pedaling this BS? Mao, Stalin and/or Hitler were not professed Atheists by any means! They were tyrants! And you don't have to be an atheist to be an tyrant! You are generalizing pal! No, neither of these people can be viewed as atheists. You are misinformed. And badly so.
@TheMappyHappy Excuse me - it was Marx who said "Religion is the opium of the people" - At least get your facts right! BTW That was Marx's political judgement; he might have been right, he might have just been making a sound-bite. Marx was wrong in so many things, and right in some others. Religion is the definitely a crutch for the weak, but it is also the weapon of terrible power to those who know how to perpetrate and use it!!
I wasn't completely sure on how I felt about this issue on Christianity? Now, that I have seen this debate and read other things I know I do not believe in Christianity or organized religion at all. It's funny that Kirk and Ray are actually convincing me the opposite of what they are trying to preach. I am sure I am not the first.
@brownbigb I'm sure Ray is not an Atheist, because he seems happy and smiles often. I've rarely seen any Atheist I know smile. They're always pissed off at any one who is spiritual or religious. And Atheist always talk about being enlightened and smarter. Why can't that be reason enough to smile? Why always insult people and put them down?
(I know there are religious people who do the same, but I'd think enlightenment would teach that 2 wrongs don't make a right.)
@bluesith I'm an atheist and I smile quite often. I willingly I lived with my grandparents (Who are very religious) for months and couldn't love them more than I do now. Nor do I think I'm enlightened, I'm just an average person who doesn't believe in god. My brother, however. is a Christian and he's ten folds smarter than I am. He got over $30,000 in scholarship while I have no scholarship for the University I go to.
We're just average people who fight back when we're persecuted.
@bluesith Its clear you are a believer so most likely you don't know many atheists and when you do meet one why do you expect them to smile much ? Your friends and family etc. of course they smile more easily when you guys know each other. This is just poor and prejudiced argument from extremely limited personal experience and its sickening to see it been thumbed up. Makes me think that perhaps the atheist you meet don't smile because its you who they meet.
@Inhislair I'm a believer, but I'm not religious. Most of my family is Atheist. Many friends and co-workers are atheists. I don't just hang out with "Spiritual" people.
what I said stand: most Atheists I know are miserable and want to make others around them just as miserable.
I also know Christians who believe in evolution. They are happy people. But the ones who deny a God seem to do so to justify their own behaviors. Yet their is still an emptiness or something (I don't know what?)
@bluesith It does not matter even if all the people you know are atheist. Your experience may be like that and you can say it all you want but to use it as an argument for ray not being atheist is just stupid and I can prove it right now -> My experience is the exact opposite. Done.
Your prejudiced small sample really does not carry any true weight behind it since you don't know all the atheist and can make any statistics for it. I believe that belief in god is a non factor in this issue.
The two Atheists in this particular video seem like up tight pricks. Bitter to the bone!"
Again you make a stupid assessment. They are in a debate so it is to be expected. I have seen some other video where those same atheists laugh and have fun their own strange way. Btw you didn't say anything back about me suspecting you voting yourself up so I guess it is true, I think you should stop it since its extremely dishonest.
@Inhislair I've seen plenty of Brian's other videos on Youtube. The guy talks about getting rid of all organized religions. He was very angry every-time he talks about it. I personally don't agree with organized religions (I hate them). But I don't think that it's anyone's place to tell others what to do or think. People have free choice to do what they want. You don't like, then don't go there, go somewhere else.
@bluesith "People are people! It's that simple, some are good, some are bad." Just as some smile and some don't. It seems you don't think the way your best rated comment says any longer and I'm thankful that got sorted out.
Smile isn't that b&w issue anyways. Some may not smile much but can be extremely happy. Some may pretend smile just to please others. You can't know much about a person just if you saw him smile at some occasion while not even checking the situation.
@Inhislair I make mistakes. I'm driven by passions and emotions, just like everyone else. I don't even blame Brian for hating Christians. Maybe he was hurt by some as child or something, who knows?
People should at-least have free choice to think what they want.
@bluesith "I don't even blame Brian for hating Christians. Maybe he was hurt by some as child or something, who knows?" At least you added who knows at the end so I wont have much problem with that but I just think its not fair to even speculate other peoples affairs like that, reminds me of the "what made you so mad at god" argument that is so common watch?v=XMSrgKtH8LY
@bluesith Perhaps the Atheists you meet don't seem very happy because you tell them to go F@ck monkeys? Did you ever consider that?
It may personally matter to you what world view seems to make people the happiest, but if I think a particular religion makes me the happiest, does that mean anything to it's truth? I see people in cults smile, I see them smile A LOT. In a creepy way too much sort of way. My point is even if your comment is true, which it's not, it means nothing. Please consider.
@CheckAllFrequencies Yes I tell them to go fuck monkeys because I'm fed up of the double standard they have. I'm fed up of their "Straw-man" tactics and their lack of emotions for people who are suffering!
I'm not religious, but I try to be spiritual. But now I've lost my patience so I don't care.
@CheckAllFrequencies perhaps I'm telling atheists to go fuck themselves because I'm fed up of their double standard crap! You laugh at us for believing in a God or for being spiritual. You insult us left and right. I read insulting comment after comment laughing at the Kirk Cameron, but oh! "No problem, laugh at the brainless Christians, that's OK!" But as soon as one of us returns the favor you simply can't take it. Deal with it!
@bluesith Everyone take a look at bluesith's high rated comment on the last video and tell me who the hypocrite here is. Why always insult people and put them down? On the last video you insulted all kinds of people. You need to step back and take a serious look at your own actions before you wildly judge other groups of people. If you are in a religious debate with an Atheist there probably won't be a lot of smiling, but in everyday life, they smile just as much as everyone else.
@CheckAllFrequencies Wow didn't even see that one...thanks... I mean that was harsh...who voted that up ? bluesith must have like tons of accounts and he votes himself up, I can't imagine who would vote such a hateful speech (even as pity) or such a dumb prejudiced comment up. Almost every his every comment was voted up...I guess the mystery is solved. I was wrong to think less of people, in reality there is most likely only one douche bag who votes himself up.
@CheckAllFrequencies I insult people on the last video comment because I personally felt insulted by the woman's comments and her lack of care for those suffering. I was not surprised to see so many atheists support her and show no compassion for the people who suffer. You tell me you guys care and want to help people, based on the responses I've seen I don't believe it. You'll use anything to advance your theories even if it means hurting others. What's wrong can dish it out, but can't take it?
@bluesith I have no idea what you're talking about. She was very emotional about the issue. She never expressed that cancer patients don't suffer, she just wasn't asking a question about suffering. Cancer is a problem with DNA replication itself, and she was yelling at him because she wanted him to answer the right question. No one disagrees that she wasn't tactful, but you've blown this WAY out of proportion. I can take it. I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy.
@bluesith haha man you crack me up. I'm an atheist and I'm perfectly happy. and I have no bone to pick with anybody religios. my best friend is a christian, as are my parents, and I certainly don't hate them. the bottom line is, don't stereotpye all atheists , just as I'm sure you don't like it when atheists stereotype all christians.
@bluesith there's just as many bad religious people as there are bad atheists, more importantly forget about what you believe there are good and bad in humanity no matter what they believe.
@bluesith That is you stereotyping atheists through your own experiences. Atheists aren't emo wrist cutters. They are people like everyone else that just do not believe in certain things that others do. It's no different from having different favorite colors that your friend. Does he not like you because you like red and he doesn't? Personalities, like the kind you claim atheists are like, are a product of the person not their beliefs.
@DetJohnKimble100 It's illogical and asinine to compare what someone likes to what someone believes. You might not like what you believe and you might not believe what you like. It is a fallacy to use that argument.
"It's no different from having different favorite colors that your friend."
No, it is not the same as having a different favorite color!! This is eternity we're talking about! It is clear that God created the world and that His Son Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven (God's eternal presence). Those who do not believe in the One, True, Living God will be judged by Him in the end, and by then it will be too late for those who call themselves atheists. It's sad, truly sad.
Why is this so chopped up? I would like to see the unedited version (9 min clips that flow seamlessly) just to be sure both sides are being equally and fairly represented.
@wowsdrawkcab I agree with you, would be nice to see both sides fairly. But I don't think it would change much. both sides already made up their minds before going to this debate. This is just basically a pissing contest between the two sides. No real exchange of anything other then gently placed insults and self inflation.
but I've noticed a very high rate of fps for nigh on ALL creationists that try to show some understanding of the concepts that they are fighting against...
@christiantruth1021 Imo America is to big to function proberly. With all those states, men with to much power(and cooperations and stuff buying them off) and so forth. My hopes is that EU wont become the same.
@B1aDK Technology has made countries of our size much more sustainable. We live in a world of bullet trains, cars, jets and digital communication after all. America's real problem is not its size, but corruption within its seats of government. The lobbyists holding back progress out of self preservation, the big companies doing the same and foreign interest.
@TakumProti I didn't refer to its physical size but you know. The government is big(english isn't my first language so I fail at making my point here...)
Anyway, yes. Corruption, lobbyist and so on are the root of the problem and I also believe that those things are more likely to happen when you got a big country.
@B1aDK Well, the Government shouldn't have so much control but I think it would be too hard for just a small few of people to try to run it themselves, whether for good of evil. Obviously, one person can only do so much. The thing is it would be fine without all the corruption. That's a given.
but its cool to get mad and act like your 5 when u dont agree with people that why there is war murder greed and all the sin because your parents did not teach u better then oh here no morals for u so when u grow up your mad at god and act like he is not there. there would be no point if god let everyone know he was there the point of life if to find him and if your to proud to see him then your as dumb as satan his sin was pride and greed .

Was it not the "religious" ignorant citizens who were speaking against the rising rate of homicides, opposing laws against abortion that non-religious voters desired to see passed, opposed teen sex, condoned abstinence and the dangers of STD's?
conkpit 7 months ago
@conkpit then how do you explain priests who are deemed so holy? they are sexually repressed and have been known to be pedophiles. often times they rape children.
Desimunda92 6 months ago
@conkpit Actually he is being brutally honest here in saying that despite all the religious influence in the US, it is not helping its current situation. There are atheists who are both pro-life and pro-choice, who are saddened by homicides, opposed to teen sex, and also condone abstinence and knowledge of STDs. You don't have to be religious to have the same opinions on the issues you describe. That very separation you just made is what is holding progress back in your country.
Xdsin100 6 months ago
In the US there are roughly 3-4 million atheists. Wouldn't you think that if all the other 250-270 million religious people in the US were actively speaking out against all these issues that they would have been resolved by now or perhaps laws would have been passed that rule in your favor? Perhaps these issues are being acted on but your solutions are not working. Perhaps you should look at other countries are determine what policies are working religion aside.
Xdsin100 6 months ago
@Xdsin100 I agree who heartedly with you. I have no objections to finding solutions that work in a society--religious or non-religious. But for Brian and Sam Harris to blame the ills of America solely on religion is not being honest to the debate. As I stated earlier, the very problems that exists in America are problems that many religious groups have spoken up about time and time again.
conkpit 6 months ago
I'm confused about Kerry's statement of cultural projections about God. When asked earlier about whether any good has come out of atheistic societies she responded by saying communistic and atheistic governments are considered religious systems because they were worshiped by the people. If God is based on the physical only, as she now claims, then it would assume to me, she should accept any government authority as God.
conkpit 7 months ago
@conkpit no she did not say that about the governments. She said that communistic governments are not atheistic governments and should not be considered the same. They should not be compared because for one, Hilter was a catholic and they are not bad people, Stalin may have been an atheist but he abolished religion to gain power and worship from his people like a god which supports Kerry's statement. Atheism is not a religion and the acts of one atheist should not be cast upon all atheists.
Xdsin100 6 months ago
Ill rationalize the statement about About America being so religious yet so full of death and crime and Porn - Well I think the church is not really using the bible but the parts that they want and in this case it would be better for people to follow the ten commandments rather than be religious. There would be no crime no pain from rape or starving people because the comandment to love thy neighbor as theyself is a direct comand to help people Who needs so much money it only brings more probs?

Sweden is a secular nation founded on christian values. State and Church are separated in essence. Saying that sweden is an atheist country is not only wrong but way out deception of the public. Sweden wouldnt be as it is without the christian foundation. We are just secular in our attitude, free speech and belief you know.

USA neither establishes (State) religions nor prohibits freedom of worship and speech, even unpopular criticism.
pewtoobe 8 months ago
@pewtoobe In my 33 years in Canada it has not been my experience that what you're saying is true. Your opinion may come from your interpretation of the difference between Free Speech in Canada & the US. Although freedom of speech is important and a strongly held value of Canadians, our laws do have stricter restrictions on "hate" speech than the US does.
StevenBee2 7 months ago
@pewtoobe Sorry but I have lived in Canada all my life and do not agree with what you have said. Canada prosecutes against Discrimination against religion. So if I was someone who hated Muslims and I walked up to one and verbally assualted them by saying, "You are dirty towel head and Allah is Satan!" I can be prosecuted for what I said to that person. However, I can approach the same person and say, "I don't agree with these aspects of your religion..." and criticize aspects of their religion..
Xdsin100 6 months ago
@pewtoobe and having a meaningful conversation with that individual where that individual can choose to continue or remove themselves from the conversation. However if you are verbally assaulting this person, you are not giving them that option and not only is that illegal, it can be intensified if it can be proven to be a hate crime. In both Canada and the US you can exercise freedom of speech but you can also be held accountable to it. For Example...
Xdsin100 6 months ago
If someone in the US says to someone, "I am going to kill you!" The person that says that statement can be held accountable for issuing a death threat. Freedom of Speech is not the right to say whatever the hell you want to anyone and have no accountability or responsibility to it. In fact, Freedom of Speech holds you accountable to what you say because whatever comes out of your mouth is of your own mind and holds value (good or bad) and is not instilled by Government.

SCUBAJAY316 1 year ago

That's all.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies My sincere apologies and condolences for your lost. I know firsthand that it hurts.
But I don't feel that this woman was hurting over a loss. She was asking "scientific questions" not asking about suffering. I might be wrong, but that is how I felt when I watched it.
A loving God does not give people cancer. Cancer is a result of man's fallen state.
You may also chose to not believe this, that's ok.
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Thank you. You have my best wishes dealing with you loss as well.
Personally, she looks like she's going to feint mid-question in my opinion. Take a look at her again, and she seems angry and sad at the same time.
What I want you to know is there is another side of the coin. For people who don't believe in God, it makes them angry when someone says "God has a plan" and "God is all love" when we've lost someone so close to us from something like cancer. I'm sure you can understand.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago

But I'm not the one who can stop them. So I focus on getting to know who the Creator is. I'm not perfect. I don't have all the answers. I don't dismiss evolution completely. I'd just like to have a non-hateful conversation about it. I know I said nasty things, but that was after being insulted a lot.
bluesith 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies I think that when dealing with an issue like cancer people should be more sensitive. We would not make light of things like the Holocaust. So why play around with this issue?
No matter what the reason behind cancer, it's suffering. A spiritual person would naturally try to deal with the persons' emotional side to help them cope through the ordeal. But what ever get's you through it.
It's truly sad.
bluesith 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies Why do you assume Spiritual people (or Christians) claim to be perfect. push anyone enough and we'll eventually push back. Seriously read all the comments on this video series and see how many atheists make fun and insult Kirk Camron and other Believers for simply having a different opinion then their own. But I make an insulting statement towards atheists and they all go crying like a bunch of panzy school girls! I don't claim to be better. I just claim a different belief.
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Because what is the point of religion, spirituality etc. if it doesn't make you a better person? If it can't lift you above these people and bring you a sense of peace, then what does this spirituality grant you? Christians claim a personal relationship with God, not just that he exists. Where is God's affect on you?
Kirk Cameron brings out pictures of "crockaducks" or whatever, and completely strawmans evolution. That is going to get you ridicule.
Is someone crying? We're debating.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies Perhaps you are not crying, but many atheists are ticked off over my comment, so be it! I don't care. And where is it written that Christianity makes you a better person. I think many Christians are crooks. I also think other people in other religions are also crooks. Just as Atheists can be crooks. People are people! It's that simple, some are good, some are bad. I know there is a Creator God. My spiritual walk is to get to know Him.I might one day be better for it, or not
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith I only noticed it because it has so many thumbs up and it's the top of the page. If the opposite comment was at the top of the page, I'm sure you would have something to say. It's quite a profane comment that misrepresents evolution.
How did you come to knowledge about there being a creator? Do you really know this, or do you just want it to be true? Our fear of death is inescapable. What was it like before we were born? I have no reason to think it won't be like that after I die.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies My discovery of the Creator was not based on wishful thinking. i studied science and found it to be very complex. It seem to imply Intelligent design. But I know implying is not enough. My real "revelation came when I had a life after death experience. I had drowned and was declared dead. I was gone for over 15 minutes and I came back. I saw the other side. It is real. I had seen Hell and then I was brought back by Jesus.
Believe or not, I care not! I know what happened.
bluesith 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies I know you can laugh at my story. I honestly don't care. But i know there is more then just this physical dimension. Earlier you said that perhaps it was just my own wishful thinking. That's a fair assessment. But I can say the same about your comment of death being no different then before you were born. But that does not mean that I disrespect your opinion.
If science is truly the search for truth then it must examine every possible avenue.
bluesith 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies Please do not project your own preconceived ideas of what a Christian is. But I don't blame you. Christians have done a good job at advertising how they should be. then they go and break it. I've not seen the "Croco-duck" thing. I might have laughed at that myself. But then I also laughed at the "proof" of the Nabraska-man that turned out to be a pig's tooth.
What I did see is a lot of put downs by Atheists on all the videos.
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith But, how do you know it was a hoax? Because science has built in peer review. This and the other hoaxes mentioned during this debate is proof of how science roots out hoaxes. This is a success story of science, not a failure. Scientists are people themselves and have all sorts of individual motives, and some have tried to use hoaxes to get fame, but they will be revealed. Religious texts and artifacts suffer the same problem, people create hoaxes for their own self-interests.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies I'm not arguing with you on that. I agree.

I'm a Canadian who lives in Japan (I also lives in other Asian countries)
I can assure that these U.N. quotes are very wrong, Canada has a strong Muslim following and many Christians as well.
Japan is extremely Shinto and Buddhist. Every Japanese person prays to their own personal ancestors (they have personal shrines in their homes.)
These countries are nice, but they are definitely not Atheist.
This guy's placing his faith in the U.N. and doesn't have the true facts, sounds like blind faith
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Oh and here's one for your "Extremely religious Japan theory"
"About 70 percent of Japanese profess no religious membership, according to Johnstone (1993:323), 84% of the Japanese claim no personal religion. And according to Demerath (2001:138), 64% do not believe in God, and 55% do not believe in Buddha."
Oh and on top of that Buddhist tend to be atheist. Atheism is simply a lack of belief or disbelief of a god or gods, and Buddha wasn't a god.
TheNorthFuck 1 year ago
@TheNorthFuck So you're going to argue Japan with me! Have you ever been to Japan? Are you Japanese?
People can use statistics to "prove" anything.
All Japanese are Buddhists and Shinto at the same time. This is how we find balance and harmony.
We often say we are not religious because Shinto is not a religion but a way of life we accept since we are young. We do not believe in "the Buddha" , we simply live by Zen philosophy.
The modern movement away from this has lead to high suicide rate
bluesith 1 year ago
@TheNorthFuck That is correct, we Japanese, when asked, do not claim to be religious. Yet we pray to ancestors and other gods, will go to Shinto shrines to offer prayer for good luck with school tests or job promotions, We all take a week off every year to honor the dead, the celebration is called Obon and is very religious. Every holiday we celebrate has spiritual connections.
Even Sumo is spiritual
We practice spirituality, we just don't claim to be religious.
Your statistics mean nothing.
TheSuperWanderer 1 year ago
@TheSuperWanderer We Japanese are spiritual. Every Spring we toss rice to fend off evil spirits. We offer (paper) prayer to the gods for success in the new year. In the Summer each town or area has a celebration when men carry a shrine to honor the gods of that area.
I can go on and on.
We are very spiritual, just not "religious" in the Western sense.
You should actually study or visit a place before claiming to know everything about it.
TheSuperWanderer 1 year ago
I'm curious, why do atheists always attack Christians and not Muslims or Buddhists?
sounds like they have a serious issue between themselves and the "so called" Biblical God
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Yes, I'd love to see a debate like this between an Atheist and a Muslim.
TheSuperWanderer 1 year ago
@TheSuperWanderer Just look up "Does God Not Exist", there are actually a few Muslim and Atheist debates you can see on YouTube. You'll notice the name of the debate seems to put the burden of proof on the Atheist. The Muslim group participating would not debate "Does God Exist" because they do not want the burden of proof to be on them, even though they have the positive claim.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@bluesith you are absolutely wright because behind the scene satin using people to attack the gospel because satin knows that's the only way for salvation of the human souls
webncyber 1 year ago
@webncyber Seriously, man, do you think Satan is spelled satin? You did it twice. Perhaps you should read the Bible a little closer, you seem to be missing some important details.
If your claim is true, and you have no basis for it in reality, why then does God allow a war against him to take place? Why would a God that is pure love and all powerful allow Satan to deceive billions of people? How is it that Satan can even wage a war against God? I doubt you have a satisfactory answer.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@bluesith And if you cracked open a book every once in a while you would know that atheist do attack the Muslim and Buddhist religion. Christopher Hitchens' book "God Is Not Great" Has an entire chapter negatively talking about Buddhism alone and it's brought up several other times throughout the book. And in fact in that same book he talk more about Islam than he does Christianity.
Average American atheist tend to argue with Christians exclusively because it's the religion they know best.
TheNorthFuck 1 year ago
@TheNorthFuck I'm not sure how a Muslim can debate an Atheists in a book? I'm sure the Atheists had a good time bashing the Muslims, but that is not a debate.
My original post wanted to see an Atheists with enough balls to debate a Muslim in person. It's easy to debate a Christian because they will always show love. Muslims do love others, but they will defend their religion more strongly and Atheists know it.
Maybe if you took your nose out of books and actually looked at life you might learn
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith "It's easy to debate a Christian because they will always show love."
And what sh-it have you been smoking???? Christians have committed some of the worst atrocities on record! Yeah, there are plenty of "good" christians and there are plenty of Christians who have committed HORRIBLE CRIMES against humanity! How many atheists do you know would be willing to murder a doctor who performs an abortion?? Oh yeah, it takes a CHRISTIAN to do that!
cutis1000 1 year ago
@cutis1000 You know there is a difference between a religious fanatic and a regular persons practicing a faith. 9/11 was blamed on a fanatical group, by your logic, then all Muslims are responsible for 9/11.
By that logic, if an Atheists kills someone are all Atheists murders?
Or perhaps think of it this way; I love animals, but that does not make me a member of PETA.
The Catholic church has committed the worst monstrosities, I agree. But they are NOT true Christians.
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith You're side stepping the question that I posed. Atheists don't kill over the idea of Atheism. A christian will kill in the name of Christianity. BIG DIFFERENCE.
cutis1000 1 year ago
@cutis1000 you're not understanding what I'm trying to say; the existence of a Creator is very different then organized religions. World leaders will manipulate and use any religion for their advantage. Hitler is a good example of this. He played the religion card to gain power (people are sheeple). Yet Hitler killed in the name of Darwinism (remember his speeches about Jews being a sub-species). By your reasoning I could say all Atheist are murders because of Hitler. I don't think that is logic
bluesith 1 year ago
@cutis1000 I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm just trying to illustrate a point that most people often fail to see; that organized religion and a creator are two different things. We can't blame Henry Ford because a bunch of people drive foolishly and kill others. That was their own stupidity, not Henry Fords. The same with Religions and God.
I hate religion and I spend most of my time fighting it. I think they do more damage then good.
But their actions don't change my belief in a creator.
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Henry Ford is not claiming to be perfect. It's fine to claim that man is fallen and imperfect, but this is a religious claim. If not religion, what convinces you we are created? When we've looked at the Earth it's undeniable across many sciences that the Earth is quite old, and there is no single time in history that fully formed creatures just appeared where none were before. As we go back in time, life gets simpler and simpler, but complex life doesn't just pop up out of nowhere.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies You are correct. Complex life does not just "pop out of nowhere" I'm not following a religious dogma or tradition, but I do believe that life comes from intelligent design. I just think that our current science is not advanced enough to detect the designer. Since we live in one particular dimension that is enclosed by time, our minds cannot comprehend a creator that exists outside of time. Eternal means no beginning and no end.
I do enjoy your friendly debate.
thanks
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Okay, well my point is that if life was created, it would have appeared at one point in time fully formed. We would see no evidence of life in one strata, and then fully formed fossils in the next. We do not see this. We see gradual increases in complexity over time. Either creation is working through a process like evolution, or God is trying to trick us. From your previous comments I know how you feel about evolution.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies To be honest. If people could stop bugging me with the cancer lady's retard statement, then I'd love to have a civil conversation.
Yes I believe in a Creator being behind intelligent design. I think that perhaps that Creator can use evolution. Personally I believe in Micro-evolution, but I don't fully dismiss the possibility of full evolution. I just grow tired of being insulted for the fact that I believe in a Creator. And I'm tired of "Straw-man" tactics being defended
bluesith 1 year ago
@cutis1000 Stalin said "There is no God." Lot's of killing in Russia at that time.
Chairman Mao of China said "religion is the opium of the people". He did not like god or any religion so he banned them. Many people were massacred in the name of his movement.
This can viewed as an Atheist action, but I don't hold every atheist the same as Mao or Stalin (or Chinese and Russians)
You have to learn to look at the whole picture and not generalize. Mad men say whatever for to fool the people.
TheMappyHappy 1 year ago
@TheMappyHappy Please, would you stop pedaling this BS? Mao, Stalin and/or Hitler were not professed Atheists by any means! They were tyrants! And you don't have to be an atheist to be an tyrant! cutis1000 1 year ago

(I know there are religious people who do the same, but I'd think enlightenment would teach that 2 wrongs don't make a right.)
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith I'm an atheist and I smile quite often. I willingly I lived with my grandparents (Who are very religious) for months and couldn't love them more than I do now. Nor do I think I'm enlightened, I'm just an average person who doesn't believe in god. My brother, however. is a Christian and he's ten folds smarter than I am. He got over $30,000 in scholarship while I have no scholarship for the University I go to.
We're just average people who fight back when we're persecuted.
TheNorthFuck 1 year ago
@bluesith Its clear you are a believer so most likely you don't know many atheists and when you do meet one why do you expect them to smile much ? Your friends and family etc. of course they smile more easily when you guys know each other. This is just poor and prejudiced argument from extremely limited personal experience and its sickening to see it been thumbed up. Makes me think that perhaps the atheist you meet don't smile because its you who they meet.
Inhislair 1 year ago
@Inhislair I'm a believer, but I'm not religious. Most of my family is Atheist. Many friends and co-workers are atheists. I don't just hang out with "Spiritual" people.
what I said stand: most Atheists I know are miserable and want to make others around them just as miserable.
I also know Christians who believe in evolution. They are happy people. But the ones who deny a God seem to do so to justify their own behaviors. Yet their is still an emptiness or something (I don't know what?)
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith It does not matter even if all the people you know are atheist. Your experience may be like that and you can say it all you want but to use it as an argument for ray not being atheist is just stupid and I can prove it right now -> My experience is the exact opposite. Done.
Your prejudiced small sample really does not carry any true weight behind it since you don't know all the atheist and can make any statistics for it. I believe that belief in god is a non factor in this issue.

Inhislair 1 year ago
@Inhislair I've seen plenty of Brian's other videos on Youtube. The guy talks about getting rid of all organized religions. He was very angry every-time he talks about it. I personally don't agree with organized religions (I hate them). But I don't think that it's anyone's place to tell others what to do or think. People have free choice to do what they want. You don't like, then don't go there, go somewhere else.
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith "People are people! It's that simple, some are good, some are bad." Just as some smile and some don't. It seems you don't think the way your best rated comment says any longer and I'm thankful that got sorted out.
Smile isn't that b&w issue anyways. Some may not smile much but can be extremely happy. Some may pretend smile just to please others. You can't know much about a person just if you saw him smile at some occasion while not even checking the situation.
Inhislair 1 year ago
@Inhislair I make mistakes. I'm driven by passions and emotions, just like everyone else. I don't even blame Brian for hating Christians. Maybe he was hurt by some as child or something, who knows?

@bluesith Perhaps the Atheists you meet don't seem very happy because you tell them to go F@ck monkeys? Did you ever consider that?
It may personally matter to you what world view seems to make people the happiest, but if I think a particular religion makes me the happiest, does that mean anything to it's truth? I see people in cults smile, I see them smile A LOT. In a creepy way too much sort of way. My point is even if your comment is true, which it's not, it means nothing. Please consider.

@CheckAllFrequencies perhaps I'm telling atheists to go fuck themselves because I'm fed up of their double standard crap! You laugh at us for believing in a God or for being spiritual. But as soon as one of us returns the favor you simply can't take it. Deal with it!
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith Everyone take a look at bluesith's high rated comment on the last video and tell me who the hypocrite here is. Why always insult people and put them down? On the last video you insulted all kinds of people. You need to step back and take a serious look at your own actions before you wildly judge other groups of people. If you are in a religious debate with an Atheist there probably won't be a lot of smiling, but in everyday life, they smile just as much as everyone else.
CheckAllFrequencies 1 year ago
@CheckAllFrequencies Wow didn't even see that one...thanks... Inhislair 1 year ago
What's wrong can dish it out, but can't take it?
bluesith 1 year ago
@bluesith I have no idea what you're talking about. She was very emotional about the issue. She never expressed that cancer patients don't suffer, she just wasn't asking a question about suffering. Cancer is a problem with DNA replication itself, and she was yelling at him because she wanted him to answer the right question. No one disagrees that she wasn't tactful, but you've blown this WAY out of proportion. I can take it. I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy.
