My friend, it seems you are genuine in your search for Truth. I have no doubt in my mind, Allah will guide you. Usually, atheists/agnostics are biased & quick to point eternal hell. But it is just as easy to go to paradise-eternal pleasures. What is required to enter paradise is good deeds such as being pious, humble, helping the poor, speaking the truth, respecting elders, loving the young, not gambling, not drinking alcohol, caring for neighbor, caring for parents, & so on.
There are many reasons for my belief in Islam. One reason is, it offers the best moral code targetting to please Allah Almighty & not society. In the scheme of things, my stay here on this earth is very short. Even if I live to be 100 years old, it still will be a tiny blip considering billions/trillions of years. When I leave, all I will have is good deeds to show to my Lord. Lord will not ask me about what others did, but I alone will be held accountable for my actions.
Lastly, if you seek Allah-the Creator, the Cherisher, the Sustainer of the worlds, the Tremendous, the Sublime, the Wise, the All-Knowing, the All-Seeing, the Powerful, the Majestic, the Merciful, the Architect, the Designer, the Fashioner, & the Just-then be humble, be pious, be sincere, & willing to submit to Him and Him alone, spend much time in His rememberance & have tenacious faith then inshAllah(God willing), He will unvail some of the knowledge of the Unseen.
Sounds to me more like he had father issues that led him to shuffle off Christianity as a way to strike back at his father, but he wasn't strong enough to actually live without a fairy tale to make him feel like something was giving his life meaning. I'm guessing he had a number of muslim friends, and being good people, he wanted to be a part of their group. He's no more mulsim than he was christian. Of course, if you believe in a fairy tale what does it really matter?

Again, most of the verses in the Holy Quran regarding violence were revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) during times of war. If you actually read the Holy Qu'ran, you'll see that the majority of it has Allah (swt) encouraging mercy and forgiveness towards disbelievers and each other.

I used to doubt religions too. I decided to do more research on Religions to try and find and answer. Whenever I cam across a Religion I would study their beliefs and read their books. When I finally read the Quran I was most certain that this was the word of God.
I wasn't happy with Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism etc.

As for signs, Allah has said in the Quran: "Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs?" (Quran, 78:6-7) This is true, as Mountains are proven to like be pegs in our modern time.
How could the Prophet (pbuh) know of this when he didn't have any form of geological technology back in his time?
This name is mentioned fifteen times in the Qur’an. This means that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is not quick to judgment. He gives time. He forebears and is patient to see His servant to return to Him.

@HalalKafir No he was not. The Prophet (pbuh) only fought in times of war against those who were going to kill him and his companions. In fact, many times the Prophet (pbuh) after winning a battle would forgive and set free his enemies even after they had killed and tortured many muslims.
Even when they nearly stoned the Prophet (pbuh) to death he still asked Allah to forgive the people.
There is no religion that promotes as much mercy, compassion and forgiveness as Islam.

Be it islam, be it christianity etc....I came from the reverse of that. I was a very dedicated muslim became an atheist. I realised, they are just stories. They are fairytales.

Sounds to me more like he had father issues that led him to shuffle off Christianity as a way to strike back at his father, but he wasn't strong enough to actually live without a fairy tale to make him feel like something was giving his life meaning. I'm guessing he had a number of muslim friends, and being good people, he wanted to be a part of their group. He's no more mulsim than he was christian. Of course, if you believe in a fairy tale what does it really matter?

The Muslim is not a Muslim if he does not acquire knowledge because in the sight of god the one who is intellectual is more handsome in the sight of god. While you may believe nothing i have a brain which god gifted me which i can use to discern facts and to eventually come to the right conclusion. You may believe Islam respects learning and wisdom, but that is not how it is practiced across the majority of the world; where women are forced to stay at home rather than go to school; where the rape victim is punished and the perpetrator is let go for a bribe.
Islam only thinks it is a better 'way', but it is no different than any other belief system. It brainwashes it's followers to respect an imaginary authority and follow blindly. Religion is evil by it's very nature.

I am speaking on the behalf of the Deen (the way of life) not for the mistakes or sins of other human beings they will answer for their actions to god because in Islam we are all responsible for our actions. As far as women, it was Islam that gave them their rights now the western world. Women just received their right to vote and inherit....

Women in the West have just received the right to inherit and own property, the right to vote, and to have an opportunity to pursue an education. Islam gave that to them 1400 years ago! According to the Deen it is incumbent upon both male and female to get an education. The first word revealed in the Quran was IKRA which means READ!!! There are more WOMEN in Muslim countries that graduate from College then male.

Human rights for women and men. Now i can only speak for Islam, and not for the wrong actions that another human being committed that happened to be Muslim. Yes, there are some men that use religion to commit heinous crimes. However it is not the RELIGION itself that teaches it. Thats the bottom line.

This is why the Prophet prayed to God to grant victory to the Muslims and place firmness in their hearts. Islam would not have stopped his father being violent towards his mother. Maybe it would have stopped his alcoholism, but his temper would be the same.
Violence against women still exists but Islam makes the women even more vulnerable by stripping them of their rights. And instead of condemning the violent and abusive husband it punishes the wife.
And if she leaves, the kids will remain in the hands of the abusive father.
Islam does not protect the victim it gives rights to the abuser!

As bad as it may be here it is worse, sometimes MUCH worse, in many parts of the world with northern Africa, southern and southwest Asia being prime examples. Again, most of the verses in the Holy Quran regarding violence were revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) during times of war. If you actually read the Holy Qu'ran, you'll see that the majority of it has Allah (swt) encouraging mercy and forgiveness towards disbelievers and each other.

I used to doubt religions too. I decided to do more research on Religions to try and find and answer. Whenever I cam across a Religion I would study their beliefs and read their books. When I finally read the Quran I was most certain that this was the word of God.
I wasn't happy with Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism etc.

@xrickXjamesx Not at all. I think Islam is a beautiful religion if you follow it right. Most of the harmful things that come from are the misinterpretations and extremists.
As for signs, Allah has said in the Quran: "Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs?" (Quran, 78:6-7) This is true, as Mountains are proven to like be pegs in our modern time.
How could the Prophet (pbuh) know of this when he didn't have any form of geological technology back in his time?

@HalalKafir No he was not. The Prophet (pbuh) only fought in times of war against those who were going to kill him and his companions. In fact, many times the Prophet (pbuh) after winning a battle would forgive and set free his enemies even after they had killed and tortured many muslims.
Even when they nearly stoned the Prophet (pbuh) to death he still asked Allah to forgive the people.
There is no religion that promotes as much mercy, compassion and forgiveness as Islam.

You have a warlord who was constantly involved in killing people in his conquest of the Arabian peninsula. @amatuRabbi Mohammed and Hitler both hated Jews. Mohammed cut off the heads of 600 to 900 Jewish prisoners at Medina and then took the wives of two dead Jews to be his slave wives. The Qur'an refers to Jews as 'apes and pigs', i.e. sub-human. Hitler called Jews 'subhumans' ('Untermenschen') and stuck them in concentration camps and killed millions of them. The only difference is that Mohammed didn't have the industrialized means to butcher millions of Jews or he would've done it.

Just because Mohammed had a Jewish neighbor once doesn't means he wasn't a Jew hater and that Islam is not a Jew hating ideology. It clearly is. In fact, I have seen videos here on YT of Muslim kids spewing absolute hatred against Jews "because it's in the Qur'an and Allah said so."

Many of them have horrible human rights records. @snaforfun he is a hater. but thts because he cannot c the truth... help me help him.. remember when the prophet (peace be upon him) was at the ta'ef. he went to cal them to islam, but instead they treated him badly. after tht the angel of the mountains came down and told him tht if he wanted he would close the two mountains on these people. but the prophet refused, because he had faith that at least sum1 would believe, so let the prophet b our role model, and let us help this guy c the truth :)
