This is from owning a TTS for 10months:

Hits 270klm/h easy even with the electronic 'cut' (!).

Same acc. with boxter "s" (tested)

Forget turning fast, even with magnetic, unsafe and sucks.

Turbo lag, but for our own good.

Faster than m3, z350, plain cayman and z4 coupe (tested). Top quality inside/out.

In other words, good choice for 56000euros here (GR) and dont compare with Ferrari FFS!

Faster Than an M3? I assume your talking about an E46 m3 ( straight 6 ) as the new V8 is not even in the same league as TT-S. Youd only be quicker to like 30 or 40mph due to traction , unless the m3 can actually drive, then youd just get smoked. A TT-S gets to 125mph in around 22 seconds, while an E46 M3 takes around 17.5-18 seconds. A E92 M3 can get there in under 16 seconds. A TT-S can really only do high 13 second 1/4s for the most part, the E46 is good for mid low 13s while the E92-mid 12s.

The important (for me ofc) is the time a car needs to pass a track,80-120kph which the Audi tts has in 3,8", SAME as lambo murcielago. I do know the 135i smokes the m3, thats why i have one, with JB3, AFE intake, downpipes etc... 340kw... 0-100 in 4 secs. The 80-120km/h test is a good real world factor, but its somewhat irrelevant as its totally based on the gearing of a car... consider a TTS has a 3rd gear that goes barely beyond 120km/h while the m3s does 180km/h.... thats longer than the TTSs 4th gear... the m3 is all about top end power, hence its 0-200 is 15.5 seconds to the TTSs 23 odd... sorry but theres no comparison

Personally i bought the 3,2 because of the engine , i didn't want to pay like 40 000 € for the same engine as the 2,0 l TFSI 200hp , for just a difference of 22 hp , which i take with an exhaust , air filter and chiptuning , i prefer a V6 than a 4 in line .

Also remember that the TTS is made of track so apart from being much more powerful than the lazy and heavy nose V6, it's better in every aspect such as suspension, brakes, steering, chassis, etc etc... Also with the V6 costing more or less the same as the TTS and not being half as good looking and not as performable, personally I don't see any good reason why someone metaly healthy would buy it.

The V6 apart from being less powerful and having less torque, you just have the power really near the redline and the torque, just in geological time in low rpms... So what's the midrange for?

Perhaps for the driver to noticed his car is heavy as hell..

Just listen to the video you can hear the engine goes "in power" when it passes 3 500 rpm ! I think you never tried a 3,2 l too because i do not lie . In low rpm nothing , in mid rpm and high rpm really good for the TTS . But there is always the problem , to me , of the 4 in line without any caractere !

You're saying that the TTS doesn't have much response below 3500... I don't know if you noticed but the torque in both cars start at 2500 rpm the only difference is that the TTS has more torque and instead of stop having it at 4000 rpm (like the 3.2), that just happens at 5000 rpm, where the full power comes in (and there the TTS also wins)

Man the full torque of the 3,2 NEVER comed at 4 000 , at 4 000 on the 3,2 there is nothing special , but at 2 000 there is all the torque in the 3,2 !

TTS is more a sport car without caractere , yes from 3000 to the red line it goes well but it's always the same power and torque .

It's good to do some races on track , but for the sound , caractere , prestige and torque , the 3,2 is so much better .

I think it's not just a simple remapped engine . It must have another turbo , injectors , pistons , etc. .TT-S engine = S3 Engine = GTI Ed. 30 Engine but definitely it's not the same engine as TT T-FSI 200hp . And yeah btw GTI Ed. 30 ( 230hp ) engine is different from GTI (200hp) engine .

it's normal, if you look closer you will notice that the scale of the speedo is different. For example th gap between 60 and 100 is much bigger than the gap from 100 to 140, so the car appear to accelerate less from 100 km/h onwards... all cars have this feature otherwise the speedo would have to be huge :D
