hey there, I don't know much about this case but it could have been something similar to the riots in the UK where I believe the victim shot at police officers in a car chase.

Maybe Mr Troy Davis bought this on himself, hanging around hodlums, harrassing homeless people for bears and carrying on. I tell my kids stay away from those hodlums because when trouble comes they will leave you holding the bag. But he didn't deserve to die. The death penalty should defintly be abolished, its too risky. You see a lot of people that were on death row being exonerated, that should tell you something.
There were blacks and white involved in this whole case from start to finish and some of them were Troy Davis own friends. The whole legal system isnt disohnest. Blaming on the system is just your last ditch effort to prove he didnt do it. You know why Troy Davis was caught. His friends Identified him, other wise he may have gotten away with it. If you want to blame some one for him being identified, blame his friends, not the system. His friends turned him in. they were his black friends.

You have to try putting yourself in the place of a cop. At any moment an armed person like troy can open fire on you and just snuff your life out. People who saw him at the 2 shooting described him. It was the friends that he was with that put the name on the description. when I see in the news that a white cop shoots an unarmed man it agrivates me. I am not looking at the color of the skin. I am looking at the crime. You have to realize there are alot of ohnest people that do the right thing.

Young and his girl was out their getting stoned, (the homeless people) Every one is just discribing clothing and body build. Nothing is with 100% certainty. @tuffe52060 I for one are a law abiding citizen mother of three and widow. I pretty much lived a sheltered life. All I'm a nurse, and all I do is go to work, come home and take care of my family. Yet I get harrassed by cops. People are really getting tired of being harrassed by them. And when cops get killed most of the time is because something they started. They bring it on themselfs.
Every thing I write about this case and troy davis is facts from the trial. So how it is ignorant or stupid to write actual facts testified and ruled on is beyond me. I'm scared to death of them. Called them for protection from guy banging on my door with a hammer. Cops came and treated me like I was the crimal. All I saw was a lot legal jargan, contradiction, inconsistecys and vague discriptions that don't specific IDs of anyone. And the statements made doesn't even glue the story together as of what really happen that night. They just dress it all 174 pages of it to make it look legitment just to justify their actions.

Thank you, Thank you, for coming at the Troy Davis situation with some intelligence. Troy Davis was gun-toting thug. Troy plead guilty in '88 to misdemeanor gun possession. By the way this is where the system failed Troy. Troy should have been given a mandatory two-years in prison for this charge instead he paid a small fine and moved on. Troy Davis was known in the streets as R.A.H. "rough as hell" and was a known thug. Troy was charged with 4 crimes in '89.

Later, he pistol whips the homeless dude over a freakin' beer! When the security guard comes out to break up the fracas, Troy kills the off-duty cop! At this point, Troy flees to ATL where he stays for four day until his preacher gets him during an intense man-hunt. His partner, Red, does the most intelligent thing that night.

A jury of 12, including 7 blacks found Troy guilty in two measly hours. No this stuff about too much doubt is ridiculous. Doubt only comes in at trial, not on appeal.

@vwalker50 Actually there was physical evidence that was supressed because even though his mother let the police in to search the house she later said she never really never gave them permission. they had found the clothes he was wearing which were said to have evidence on them. If youdid not do it, what did he have to hide? DNA ? Once all of the witnesses testified and he even confessed to others that he did it you cant unring a bell.

I really don't feel bad, cause I don't feel safe with them around anyway. I hardly ever hear any performing any heroic measures and they are never around when you need them. Being that these are actually from the trial of a murderer , If you cant take the truth then dont read what I write. If you want the true facts they are readily available online. Try not to rely on the media. However I read things from the media that were in the trial.But some people want to hide the truth and the facts.

All I saw was a lot legal jargan, contradiction, inconsistecys and vague discriptions that don't specific IDs of anyone. And the statements made doesn't even glue the story together as of what really happen that night. They just dress it all 174 pages of it to make it look legitment just to justify their actions.

By the way this is where the system failed Troy. Troy should have been given a mandatory two-years in prison for this charge instead he paid a small fine and moved on. Troy Davis was known in the streets as R.A.H. "rough as hell" and was a known thug. Troy was charged with 4 crimes in '89.

At trail everybody points out Troy and I mean everybody. Nobody took the stand for Troy, but his mother, who gave a weak alibi (Troy was in ATL). A jury of 12, including 7 blacks found Troy guilty in two measly hours. No this stuff about too much doubt is ridiculous. Doubt only comes in at trial, not on appeal.

Think about it, if one of your family members were killed, again I am speaking from personal experiece, the cops do not go out of their way to find out who killed your family member. @vwalker50 Actually there was physical evidence that was supressed because even though his mother let the police in to search the house she later said she never really never gave them permission. they had found the clothes he was wearing which were said to have evidence on them. If youdid not do it, what did he have to hide? DNA ? Once all of the witnesses testified and he even confessed to others that he did it you cant unring a bell.

The only person who put a gun in troy davis hand was himself. Troy davis shoots two people, goes into hiding and is forced out of hiding by drugs dealers who cant do there dealing because of the police.Enough people saw him do it to convince a black and white jury of his own peers to convict him. The DNA evidence was supressed because of a warant issue.What all of you want is a video of him doing it. If he was out on the streets now Im sure there would be lots more on him.
