my lady puts the wax in a cup and double dips. Basicaly she gets the wax from the bigger container and puts it in a little clean cup just for me. I think it is fine that she double dips since she disposes of any of the personal wax she used on me.

Do you have to be a certain age to get waxed? I would imagine you have to be 18 to get a Brazilian wax.

i would do waxing but it hurts and its rly bad to wax often. i got my eyebrows waxed for the first time last year around new year and it was awesome. i do plan on waxing my eyebrows again later in the year. i normally just pluck them. as for other body parts i shave. lol

why shouldn`t you get waxed if you`re talking acne pills?? what if you don`t have acne on ex. your legs and you wax them but you`re talking acne pills??

@srbXOXOgirl93 The area of acne is not the issue. The medication is in the bloodstream therefore in all areas of the body. Acne meds have a tendency to dry out the skin leading to fragile skin. The skin then may tear or in some cases actually rip off with the wax causing bleeding which would stop the service as well as could lead to an infection. Any good provider would tell you this information and refuse service until you are off the med for at least 6 mos. I'm a licensed Esthetician :)

@BeautybyJen using an epilator can actually break your hair accidently, and from my experience it leads to more chances of ingrown hairs

I have a stupid question...so if you do the Brazilian....you just accept that theres always going to be like a few weeks in between that you are a bit hairy so that you can grow the proper amount of hair growth for the waxing? I shave like obsessively and I'm not excited about that part.

I'm getting waxed at a salon for my first time in a few weeks (I've done it at home before but I've never managed to do a full leg! haha) and she told me my hair had to be as long as a grain of rice, and I can't invision rice on my legs lol so how long should I grow it to?

Hey Natasha what about the wax that comes in a roller? i mean the refillable devices which the waxer heats and then she rolls the wax on the skin?? ( i am a terrible describer). Isnt it bad that the roll touches every clients skin ( because it is too big to throw away after each client )

I got my legs waxed for the first time this past week (full legs). I waited 2 weeks after shaving and my leg hair was around 1/4 inch long. I wanted to start waxing, b/c I get stubble SO quick after shaving (literally, I can feel it the same night when I shave in the morning). I had two ladies working on me & when I left, I had stubble left on my legs. I though my legs would be totally smooth. Is it supposed to be completely smooth the first time you get it done???

@NREnger Theres a salon next to me that says Brazillian is all the hair but a small bit, Hollywood is all of the hair (which I thought was a Brazillian) and that playboy is all and then gems or something.

If I were doing something like a brazillian or armpits...it might be different because its not such a small area...but thats just my opinion. Ps for double dipping (i know its not sanitary) but is there really THAT much harm done? I know the wax has to be at a certain temperature to melt, but is that not hot enough to kill bacteria?

@TheLilMissBunny The heat of the wax is NOT hot enough to kill bacteria or viruses, it would have to be at a constant temperature of 180 degrees, and that is not a guarantee it would kill viruses such as Hep A, B, and C.

@TheLilMissBunny People tend to bleed when they get waxed even if it's just a small amount. That would cause and illness or disease to be transferred to whomever was waxed after that. As for it killing bacteria, no it doesn't and you would be amazed and sickened if you knew what could be in the double-dipped wax.

Do you have any tips on removing hair on the upper lip. I'm really fair so my hair isn't THHAT obvious but I hate hair on my face and I have the most sensitive upper lip ever. Anytime I've waxed, nair-ed or bleached I go all red and blotchy. So yeah....any tips to get rid of the moustache :) xo

@rhiannonwalsh It's a sensitive area, so generally it will be red and blotchy for a while after, I suggest a calming cream or after lotion to apply on the upper lip, you may look like you have a milk moustache for a bit but it should help with any redness.

cool video. i like professional waxing but it does get expensive so i started making my own sugar wax. its cheap and it actually hurts less than regular wax because it does not grab your skin (imo). i can give you the recipe to try if you are interested.
