  • very helpful video

  • very nicely done and very thoroughly explained

  • how much would something like this cost?

  • @wardubo

Dremmel tool with bit - 14.95

    Heat gun - 14.95

    Plastic sticks - 3.99

    aerosol cleaner - 1.99

You can sand it by hand (or use a power sander)

also, the paint can be costly, if you have a black car, just use a black spray paint with a clearcoat (unless you have a more expensive car, then go one further and get a colour match + clearcoat from a car paint store)

  • @iDonnyi Is this just a regular heat gun or is it a special plastic welder heat gun?

I have a regular heatgun that cost about $20 and I cannot melt pvc plumbing pipe.

  • @Trooperuss standard ole heat gun the plastic in the video isnt a pvc like you would find in a pipe its quite soft

  • lol give me paint striper paint thinner duck tape super glue spray paint and a 10 sack ill get the yob done my frien

  • super cool!

  • "the down ward pressure will give the rode better penetration into the base material"

    Haha funny

  • awesome video

  • what tap that call?

  • dude i hate your voice

  • that was great you have good skill

  • i wish I had all of those tools

  • this reminds me of nextraker without the rubber gloves.

  • crazy, and impressive

I'm just not sure what to use where, and why, for example in the other video they used that clear stuff and the powder, but then they ultimately used epoxy anyway????? dunno but cool- if not too expensive will look in to buying this stuff

  • well... i have plastic welding but not like that.....it has hot air compressor and easy to use......and when its finish...its so clean..not like that lol.....anny interested. ad me in facebook.acc( mark.jopet@yahoo.com

  • why clean with plastic cleaner if its just gonna be sanded down @ the beginning?

  • @n0y0x i was wondering about the same thing :)

    It´s just stupid :D

  • @n0y0x otherwise you could get grease and other stuff into your sander and that will make everything dirty :(

  • @n0y0x This is so you do not imbed oil's, wax, and grease into the plastic. If you do, thne you may have paint failure down the road. As a pro-body man, this video was well done and right on the money. (Although, I think the finish work on that filler needed a little more attention before primer...)

  • @WarmothGuitarist

You HAVE to match the rods to the plastic you are welding. It would be very rare to match rod color, most of them are bright color's. You also want to start the melting process in the plastic part, and then push the rod into the part as the rod has begun to melt and blend in with the bumper. Your way would leave a cold weld and just a filler rod "stuck" to the crack, not fused into one piece.

  • By the time someone has gathered everything that is used in this video, they will be sufficient enough to start there own body shop... Not worth the hassle!

  • @emporioooo because thats the pro way to do it. if you could do it perfectly with $5 worth of tools, why would body shops have all of those tools?

  • So, what is better bonding white plastic electrode or 2K epoxy urethane glue ? What should be when somebody pull that area on the parking ?

Whith sending machine you can not prep propperly that area. Why you did not use primer

filler ? Looks good on the video but for customer...????????

  • I wish I could fix my bumper just like that

  • you can, just get the plastic welding kit and follow this guide, its really easy, it would take more effort to bodge the job than do thism haha.

  • excellent video ...

  • very cool!
