Is this a joke? This is a how not to vidio. He knows nothing about pipe bending or angles. He seems so serious. Have you seen the one he does on home brain surgury?
I been out of work for 2 years finally got a job as an electrical apprintence. I used your video as source to learn the basic of pipe bending. Awesome Jeramiah, now I dont have a job anymore because of your crap bending advice. Can I work for you now.
Horrible, simply horrible. Not only does the pipe have 2 kinks in it because he didn't use his foot to keep it on the floor, but he bent way past 90 degrees. You stop when your level or eye tells you to, not when the foot pedal bottoms out.
What an idiot. Doesn't even know where 90 degrees ends. Stick to carpentry, but you should probably steer clear of any power tools until you get an education.
Carpenter and handy man, NOT AN ELECTRICIAN leave the work to us licensed electricians that use our foot to bend the pipe. If his crown moulding cuts come out as crooked as his pipe bending then he has some pretty upset customers. If any of you want to learn how to bend pipe the right way using a manual bender and have not had the opportunity to learn on the job like myself then look up benfield conduit bending manual and dvd taught by benfield himself. Enjoy!
Thanks to the other posters for correcting on his technique. I found this video very clear and easy to understand. Totally explained to me how to use my pipe bender.
You can see a crimp in the bend. The reason this happened is because the demonstrator STOPPED in the middle of the bend. To prevent this in the future, and to get a nice consistent curve in the bend, proceed with the bend and do not stop until the bend is complete.
you know there is a spot for your foot to push down on?

Dude, I'm sorry but you do not have a clue. Every bit of instruction you gave was wrong. (except the part about hiring an electrician).

You need constant foot pressure on the foot rest of the bender to make a nice bend.
