Hey fellas, it is an actual air bag which is used to raise and lower the bike(not the type of airbag in a car steering wheel.). We don't use hydraulics because motorcycles are very limited on space. The use of hydraulics would mean a pump and a couple more batteries would have to be installed on the bike. That is what you don't want. Added weight to a sportbike. Hydraulics tend to have hydraulic fluid leaks as well.

Oh yeah, the pig spotter mirrors are pretty much useless.

airbags can be just as fast as hydraulics, it depends on what size lines and valves you use, also the amount of pressure. Some people use nitrogen to power their bags with an air compressor as backup

I know next to nothing about bikes, but air bags on the rear wheel is an awsome idea. You can now lower your honey down to street level and let her off nicely. It looks fuckin sick too!

Its airbags, if it were Hydros then it would be all jerky. Airbags release slowly. They rise just as slow also. People here in Colorado have that shit on there trucks...
