Thankyou Baloobius, this is my second favorite FR song. I have this on DVD, and knowing about pacific culture helps alot (I've been to New Zealand, where they actually have a "Tree of Life")
I agree, I imagine the ethnology of the Rock was kept secret. I have my own theory that mer-men are partly to do with our Medieval Knowledge of pacific cultures, and the religious assumption that all earth creatures had a sea counterpart.
