I love this series. Book was better though. Wish they would've portrayed Darken Rahl with his blond hair, blue eyes, and white robes. It just makes him more sinister.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the series and the casting of Denna... I just wish they had shown more blood and really gotten into how insane Richard goes.

The show is fun and I like it because I discovered it BEFORE reading the books... BUT the books are SO much better. Mistress Denna in the series is like a nice little pat on Richards behind compared to what happens to him in the books.

The use of the Mord-Sith training Richad in this series is interesting but it's just child's play as to what Richard really endures in Wizard's First Rule. Man, in that novel, Denna tortures him like crazy to the point where he's sobbing and begging her to stop...constantly bringing him to the brink of death and then easing up. The funny thing is how he becomes lustfully attracted to her.

I could not agree with you more Crawford!!! I LOVE the series as I watched it before reading Wizards First Rule... and they do a great job casting the actress as Denna. Although I would've went w/Jule Benz(Darla from "Angel") but still where was all the BLOOD in the series???
