Is that a modified Blade CP or will the stock version with the 800mAh fly with floats? Just bought one today and your video has me even more excited! Thanks for any info you might have to pass along ... great video!
Yes, that looks pretty cool. I want to see it moving forward on the water with a little forward cyclic! I too am curious about how the floats are made. I have a Blade CP Pro that is starting to nag me about flying from the fresh-water lake in the Berkelely hills!
If you end up with the helicopter the wrong way up in the water, unplug the battery as soon as you recover the model. Make sure the electronics dry out completely before plugging in the battery again.
I had a brushless model under water for 1 week. Dried it out - everything worked. Still does.
hey are those pool noodles cut down the midde?

Yeah, pretty cool. Like a lot of other Blade pilots who see this video, I want to make a set of floats for mine.

Tutelar, you are a brave man my friend.

Thanks.
Brave was flying over the water without floats!
Stupid was losing control over the water - and having it sink in 20' of water =)
Smart was making floats so I don't lose it again...
tutelarRC 4 years ago
lol. even smarter would have been to waterproof the electronics tobegin with.
