  • The wicked tiger mother!

  • i feel sorry for those kids, they are forced by their parence to practise the whole day and have no childhood..

  • terribly played.

  • what Amy Chua has to do with this little angel u **** of ^%$@

  • She's amazing, especially for someone so young. I don't see why you people are saying, "Poor her." True, it might be EXTREMELY hard at home but the results are extraordinary. And isn't that better than having a child that can't do anything?

  • She's certainly got technique and emotion. Impressive!

  • very nice job

  • I have a feeling i'm not the only one who searched thisbecause of the tiger mother book

  • @AndreatheWeaboo yep ...

  • that should so be the theme tune if chua ever gets her own reality tv show

  • This kid is amazing!!

  • I've been a piano teacher for 30 years, & have never had a 6-7 year old student capable of playing this piece. Kids who can play Little White Donkey at this age are either gifted, or practice for long periods of time, or both. Most Western kids of this era are not super-dedicated music students, at least where I live. Music study is mostly a hobby, until something better comes along. Kids of Eastern heritage are more dedicated & focused classical music students, & the parents are more dedicated

  • @cinzhe In her defense it can be difficult, unless you practice alot. It's like patting your head and rubbing your belly. You're hands want to be doing the same thing. To be honest, I don't really play piano, but when I'm bored at someone's house I'll transfer stuff from guitar or try to make my own songs. Whenever I do though, I certainly can't make both hands do two different things unless it's something very simple like repeating a chord with my left and playing notes with my right.

  • Amy Chua likes her child's version more.

That why she's the one that disliked this

  • this kid might have undergone extremely tough rules of her mother. poor her

  • Outstanding!!!

  • @tykyle2004 in terms of a 6 year old playing this or the quality of this performance?

  • shitting!

  • Awewome!! what a talented young girl!! I wish I knew how to play so well.

  • @Aluminiumimmunitaet more like bless them for securing a prosperous future for her.

  • tiger mother ftw

  • parent that lives through their child's achievement.

  • @DonerciHussam as it should be in life

  • I think many of us have read the WSJ on the Chinese mother..and it is quite ironic that there is an asian girl playing this song! but concerning the article..I've heard it being bashed, but this mother loved her kids. Just as this 6 yo girls mother probably does. Discipline isn't bad, in fact, it can create beautiful music (via this young girl!) lets not be so black and white people, there isn't just right and wrong.

  • Blast the competition to Hell! There's a word for girls who can't play The Little White Donkey: losers. Chinese parenting rocks, and it is why the 21th Century doesn't belong to that has-been America.

  • @CloeBuckingham

Do you see any irony in the fact that this smart little girl is playing a French song? Americans have as much to learn from “The West” as “The East”.

  • @HuellsJewels Whoever said the East was not inclusive? Even the North Koreans teach Western painting styles, although they will never admit it. Immanuael Kant taught Buddhism. I am very happy the East and West are fascinated with each other. It means a future of peace.

  • @UncleJimmy2008

I'm not the one dismissing other cultures.

You post a nice sentiment, but I doubt it says anything about our prospects for peace. This is a wonderful performance. Enjoy it for what it is.

  • @HuellsJewels If you read the biography of Jacques-Francois Ibert (b. 1890), you would know that he got what Americans would consider "Chinese parenting." Without it, he never would have been admitted to the Paris Conservatory.

A friend, who learned fencing in Switzerland, told me how how brutal and adept his Swiss instructor was. He thought that his instruction in the USA was a joke, where nobody was ever allowed to get hurt. Of course, with the EU and "health and safety," Swiss épée may end.

  • lol, just google this so called Donkey piece from WSJ. I am watching and imaging what different "torturing" story of this little cute girl experienced....pool girl.... But you did a great job!

  • you are super cute! I am reading a newspaper article about chinese parents and how strict they are and how there is a little 7 year old who is balancing two instruments and is working on the Little White Donkey and this is GREAT:) the song isn't my FAVORITE, but, you did a great job playing it, probably, considering your age:) KEEP PLAYING!!

  • Just a bit off-- keep practicing! Other instruments can be fun as well.

  • WONDERFUL!! AWESOME!!

  • Only 7 years aswell! Brilliant!

  • at least someone plays the demi-semi-quavers more as Appoggiaturas :)

  • WHY are all asian people se good at music!?!? Well done

  • WOW!! Brava little girl! Very prettily played. Thank you.
