  • I just love the smile on your face when you put the truth about Evita out there and poke giant size holes in all the lies that have found their way around. Evita will never be forgot and those of us that love her, and we will do what you do with every opportunity we are given to poke hole in the lies.

  • I have always wondered where those that accuse Evita of being a fan of Hitler get their sources from? During my many years researching her I have never come across this but I am not surprised since they have been labelling her a fascist since forever. When in Spain, several mags & newspapers including TIME & LIFE accused her of giving the Falangue salute when clearly, the archival film footage shows her just waving to the massive crowd & this bit of malice is still being repeated today.

  • CONT: But that really shows extreme bias. Even when the evidence states otherwise (Maryssa Navarro also stated that Evita was just merely raising her hand high in the air and waving it) they deliberately chose to ignore it to tarnish her image . However, I do like the fact that many, & this includes Webber/Rice etc still had a fascination with her which says a lot about her legend & allure.

  • ALW SAID IT! IT'S TRUE!

  • Well, good to see you've returned.

  • just ignore it.

  • I do... :)

  • Hey, have you read luvctmoon's comments? Evita's hospitals were empty shells with her name in front of them! They said that they have 3rd world techno in them! And Eva's help of the poor people didn't matter! The rich were already helping them!

  • Fraser and Navarro write that many of the foundation's hospital supplies were first-rate and on par with all first world nations. They write that some of the supplies were from the United States. (Incidentally, Eva Peron's foundation sent aid to the US at one point.)

  • what page is that on?

  • I'll look it up. It's in the chapter about her foundation, which I believe is the chapter titled "The Gift of Giving."

  • HOW are you getting thumbed up?

  • The one who named herself "bitchofargentina"? Probably just thumbing her/himself under another account.

  • She hated Franco and everyone around him.

  • Actually, I do remember reading that she had some tension with him.

  • Yes I heard so :) It was on such occasions as when she told him that Argentine government will send Spain a ship of wheat. It is said that Franco got upset because one ship was not enough in his opinion for the lavish reception he made for her. He said: "Seńora we have plenty of wheat !" and she reportedly told him: "Then why don't you bake some bread of it ?" I love anecdotes about Evita and quotes by her :)

  • Great video. Disfigured facts need to be straighten. Well done.

I just hope this lunatic nicknamed "evaperonsucks", "peronswhore" or "evitaisdead" won't make massive attack on this particular video with great intensity. It's his issue believing musical is the real life story of Maria Eva Duarte de Perón.

BTW How much cost entrance to New York Times on - line archives ? I'm eager for some reading, knowing times dedicated some of their covers to Evita.

  • I bought a 10-pack for $15.

    Thanks for the compliments.

Yes, that "evaperonsucks" person will be back. Sadly. .
