Thats actually what the genre is called. Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Buble, etc. Its all considered swing

Ugh. I know artistic license is key in jazz and that Diana Krall is, at heart, a jazz musician. But these Great American Songbook tunes are done no justice when someone like her grimaces (because her smiles are about as genuine as crackwhores in old porn movies - watch her appearance on Sesame Street where she gets no joy singing with Elmo). You can't sing these happy songs and not sell the emotion.
