It's a weird thing with Depp! I find his acting style cumbersome, mawkish, off-putting. Just to name a few. He goes from 21 Jump Street to Nightmare on Elm Street to this self-promoted "method actor." I don't buy it. Neither did Hunter. Also, he attracts a certain kind of woman: the kind who likes to date men who don't look like men, who are not "buffed", who are hairless, not quite handsome, just sort of pretty. I find it weird. It's like a man wanting a woman to be like Burt fucking reynolds!

@MrJazzHOP Well, to start off i guess you could say Nightmare was done before 21 Jump Street.You don't quite seem to know much about art my friend, the way Johnny works is his own, he has allowed his mind to travel and hes' taken his shape, his acting is profoundly emotional and transfixing. What you mean hunter didnt buy it? You know when they rediscovered the rum diary together, it was Hunter that suggested making it a movie..to Mr. Depp. As for the rest, somewhat ignorant. Respectfully.

Johnny is very handsome guy, but it seem's like alot of ladies wanna only watch him for his look's. I think he's very cute but I wanna watch him for his amazing acting. lol girls go in a movie theater and pay money and when they watch the movie then they get bored cuz they hate the story...I go and watch cuz I wanna see a good movie and knowing Johnnys in it makes it good cuz he great at acting. Either way ya'll paying to see it and Johnny be like thank you LOL.

@rioja1970: its funny that many people say they only watched FLLV intoxicated. I watched it at least a dozen time, always sober except one time, when I did LSA. Had to stop though, Dr. Gonzo was kinda freaking me out^^

long story short its a deep movie, especially if you know Hunter s thompson and people should watch it sober to.
