@hashytaka Depends on if you want to go tandem or not. As Hashytaka stated, it's about $400-700 for courses before you can solo jump which requires time also. Tandem jumps where you're strapped to an experienced jumper usually run about $100-150.

Agreed though, check with your local "reputable" skydiving locations.

these videos are inspirational. I've been a cameraman for 7 years and have recently realised one of the reasons I'd love to learn to skydive is to make clips like this. Is there any particular path you recommend taking when learning to skydive to really specialise in this kind of flying and focus on filming? Are there any DZ's around the world that really excel in teaching this stuff, or do you just need to search out one that an accomplished videographer calls home?

@banjhankri Ches you want to be an aerial cinematographer! Me as well. No place in specific that will teach you the camera flying skills. The art of skydiving is not taught through a university like education. Google any dropzones near you, ask them if they have an aff program. If so you'll have an instructor teach you everything you need to know(too survive), the progression in the sport after wards is up to you.

@sjoptie Great question! The answer is not a fake shadow. The type of jump that you are looking at here is where you have Fred and in the background vince working off each other moving in the same direction and at the same level. There is 6 other flyers following each of them. The idea is that you have two group formations moving around each other through the vertical plane. This is called TRACE.
