Someone on here gets it! The Blues are not just lyrics. It's great music period! However, there's a lot of folks out there who haven't listened to some of old time Blues or very much of the Blues at all. There missing out. This album has a lot more to it than just this song. I really enjoyed it.

Such a large amount of twang, and a fairly unstandard drive from the rhythm section, often trigger the "Oh, this MUST be country" response from those ill-enlightened. Plus, classic honky-tonk tends to be a big influence on southern blues guitarists. You know, Lay Down Sally, had the same problems, to the extent that it crossed over to the country charts. (Lay Down Sally was actually written for Don Williams, btw.)
