  • these guys were cool. I bought the 45 rpm,s of their songs back in the day and still like them today, maybe a bit better than in the old days. took em out, gave them a bath, removed the static from the disc and put em on cds.---almost no nicks or scratches, sounds great!

  • What a surprise. I have never listen to you before. Maybe it´s because I´m from the northern part of Europe. But, I really like the track. I suppose that you did´nt listen to rock music from Scandinavia in the mis 60s. But give it a chance. Check up TAGES and dancing in the streets and specially THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". What a bloody "drive".

  • Man what memories " Eddies Tune" And so you think that iam alone just becouse youv gone and left me blue etc. I would go to Trader Johns and they would ask me to come up and sing " How can people be so heartless" and And " Never can say goodbye by Isaac Hayes what a bunch of great guys!! Iam Henry Serra that sand with the Warlocks" What memomories!! Thanks for Posting!!

  • I'm gonna love you anyway, sounds like rape

  • they were everywhere in Miami when I was growing up there!

  • They were on the Rick Shaw TV Show every morning (out of Miami) ... kind of like the house group. They would also lip synch. covers (Glenn Campbell, etc.). Rick Shaw, of course, was the boss jock at WQAM (along with Robey Yonge). They played all the big places, one noteworthy place being The World.

  • Wassup with the broken guitar schtick! (on Left)

  • Joey Murcia played a lot of guitar and composed a lot of their songs.

  • Joey took me to see Fritz the Cat in "71 or 2!!

  • sounds like Im not your steppin stone at first ...

  • They played a lot "at the Tiger Den in Cocoa..in the 60's

  • Good memory! These guys were all over WQAM/WFUN back in the 60's!!!

  • Eddie Martinez had a solo the flip side of Girl I got News For You called Eddie's Tune composed by him if anybody has it Please post it I lost the 45 rpm many years ago thanks..!!! by the way I read somewhere Eddie the drummer passed away....

  • They played at Trader Johns and on a weeknight, drunk as a skunk, I sang in the talent contest. A Junior Walker Cut. And they did not play the circus music as i walked off the stage, which was a MAJOR VICTORY, lol.

  • Sammie is a great person, saw him when I was really young.

  • I remember this band I am from Miami and they played at Trader JOhns , the World and other local teen spots in South florida.Eddie Martinez the the drummer had a solo hit (ballad) called Eddie's Tune if any body has it (flip side of Girl I got News for You please post it...thanks!!!!! for the clip!!!

  • Thank you very much, it was a wonderful surprise finding this this morning. It is sort of like Hang On Sloopy and I wove what I could remember into that song jammin last night, but it's actually much more Beatlesque, plus the organ and guitar is different stuff . . . I lived my teen years in South Fla and remember this song and there were other things like Little Black Egg by the Nightcrawlers [sp] that were sort of regional, such things really bring back feelings . . great song . . thanks!

  • has there music been transfered to mp3?

    does a greatest hits exist?

  • There's a 2-CD set with pretty much everything the group ever recorded. The sound isn't great though. It was taken from my records, transferred onto cassette, and then transferred onto CD. The songs are great, though.

  • Wow nice LP owned. Um can i ask how you transfered your things? or the name of the Cd or record..that would help if you had the time. I own LPs myself

  • Really great stuff! I don't know if they received airplay here or not (Western PA), I was only three at that time. On the strength of only two songs that I've heard, I rank them with the best American bands of that time! I also think that The Razor's Edge, Orpheus and so on were just as good, and unfortunately, just as unknown. Pity! I could listen to this and "Girl I've Got News for You" over and over and over...

  • Haaaaa, I love how Joey's Guitar neck broke off near the end of the song and organist Bobby plays around with it, very Monkee-esque. Even a couple of the girls noticed it too and were laughing. Bet the band got a good laugh out of that once the cameras stopped rolling.

  • I just met Sammy today! He owns a cool looking carwash close to Pigeon Forge TN. Real nice guy, enjoyed talking to him, he was busy but will go back to visit him again, maybe get a video interview with him. Thanks Mike for the heads up on him.

  • Okay, I found a WAVZ Lucky 13 survey(New Haven, CT). The week of August 27-Sept. 2 1966 Swingin' 60 survey with this song at #32. The week before it was #40.

  • From Miami, this record got played in Hartford, CT 1966. I saw it on a WDRC 1360 survey here in the Northeast. This was played on WQAM, 560 AM in Miami, as I have the aircheck that it's on.

    Great sound!

  • THANKS!!!I love sixties garage!!!

  • hang on sloopy. But definately a great twisted version.

  • This is a blast from the past. I met Sammy Hall in the 80's nice guy.

  • Sammy is a great guy. He's a real people person.

  • VERY VERY COOL. Is this from Where the Action Is?

  • No it wasn't, it was a local production, I grew up in Miami and remember when they did this in 1966.

  • Actually it is from Action. The full episode exists among collectors.
