@Larsonownsyou95 First check the bolt o-ring or the one on the hammer the silver part he took out a good portion of a marker not shooting is b/c of an o-ring or try putting some oil that came with the A-5 in the asa screw tank on then shoot to see if that help....another check to see if the velocity screw is is still there

DO NOT!!! Follow this guide. You cannot push in the power tube from behind like that! It's not possible on a stock gun. You'll have to redo everything again with the parts inside!

i just disasembled my a5, oiled it up with a whole lot of oil and put it back together. but when i was done putting it back together i noticed that i had an extra piece. it was a small round black plastic piece. it had some signed of wear. and it had like a cut out in the top of it. like a space for a flat screwdriver to go in. i tried cocking the gun and dry firing it (without co2) and it seems to work fine. i know i put everything else together right besides that one part. can anyone help?
Need some help. My when I put my Co2 in, I cock it. And then I pull the trigger, and the ball lobs out about 10ft. Then, I have to recock it. Sometimes it will shoot about 1-4 times before it need recocked.
@HildrethSupplyCo sounds like your c02 needs refilling or a o-ring may need to be oiled/replaced start by trying a co2 can you know is full since unlike hpa you dont truly know how full they are.
@BaseballMann4 could be one of the o-rings on the bolt itself (cocking bolt) or could be a simple lack of co2, because it isnt getting enough pressure to recock the gun into the ready fire position.
wow my A-5 is way different well not way but the end cap doesnt have the swivel thing it just has tht loop thing for a strap and the barrel is different too it didnt hav the holes and wow your marker is really clean lol

@2613zacdabomb No it doesn't :) It's a semi-automatic paintball gun so part of the gas that is channeled into the gun to fire is also used to push the re-cock the gun :)

Your velocity screw is the large circular hole on the right side of the receiver above the tombstone latch. Re: rear bolt. Loosen the receiver fittings a little, I really had to pull it though to get the rear bolt out.
@Crazyivan79 Thanks. As it turns out, my velocity screw has been missing out of my gun. have to order a new one. But I think this is the answer to my gun problems. my a5 will shoot ood 3-4 times and then a ball will roll out and i have to recock it. or i can shoot fine rapidly but when i slow down a ball will roll out and i have to recock it. my guess is that because i dont have the screw at all, it isnt always giving the gun enough Co2 to recock the bolt or whatever. What do you think?

@5KidsRcool take your gun appart and make sure all of your o-rings are still there and see the thing that he calls the tombstone there is an oring there and a waqsher like a flat donut piece of metal the oring goes on top that could be it but like i said lube and check ur orings! I just got this but it won't fire I did have to take it apart though to install the flatline, but I thought I put everything back together fine. I put c02 in and my egrip didnt work; it wouldn't fire.
I have a Tippmann A-5 that looks exactly like the one in the video except for the barrel. I think the type of barrel is called a flatline barrel. The gun is in good condition. I was wondering how much I should sell this gun to someone. It is used and I'm not sure if that barrel is the stock barrel. Could anyone give me an estimate of what you would pay for a used Tippmann with a flatline barrel. A fair deal for the buyer and seller.
Well a new A-5 is $180 and the flatline is $80 new. Depending on how much it was used and if it's in good condition like you say you might be able to sell it for $220-240. I'm new to paintball so I would ask other people, but with the research I've done on the A-5 (2 months of research before I bought one) I would say $220 is a good price.
hi the spring for my cocking handle snapped just a bit it still fits on the handle with a tiny bit of tension. Is this the reason why my cocking handle wont cockback?

hey man i have done every thing just as you have works :) but the barrel wiggles now thanks to the barrel adapter ive fixed some thing like that on a bt4 with some etape or is it just to sit in there some magic way i don't know about
@danny96211 the paint in paintballs is made from a derivative of olive oil and if you chop balls in your gun and leave it there eventually it will build up and form a goopy paste like you see on all the bunkers that get shot alot in the field. it is very important to clean and maintenance your gun after every game to keep it in peak working order.
i dont want to flame or anything but the number 1 rule of gun cleaning is never put water on it, because no matter how much you dry it with a paper towel there will be moisture there and cause rust so to clean the paint just use dry q-tips and then use a paper towel and some gun oil to clean everything up. Very nice video

@azniikka pball guns don't work like that. you don't get mods to make it shoot faster/slower. if you're asking how far and accurate, it's not going to shoot very well. i would suggest upgrading to a better barrel first.
lmfao unless theres somthing wrong with your gun initially, there no point in doing this,, u DO NOT need to do this to clean your gun... you'll probably just end up breaking it somehow,, the paint used in paintballs cannot damage anything in the gunn, its not oil or even water based, its something else that cannot do damage or harm anything... i think corn oil.. plus,, tippmanns are the most durable and loongest lasting guns,, they can take a beating,, i have an a-5 and 98 c

I mean, there's no harm in cleaning. Yeah, a rookie might break it but then that's why people make manuals and videos like this.
@cobi1996 i dont know if someone has replied yet but the tippmann a5 and 98 custom have very close internals so basically they're are the same gun the differences between the two however are a5 has easier maintenance as you saw with the push pins and has more upgrades than the 98 custom such as they both can get e grips but the a5 can get one with a selector switch making changing of modes easier but the only thing is the a5 costs more than a 98 custom both are awesome markers though

I didnt notice that a nail looking thing fell of and that is what is making the gun not cock....i placed it back in and the gun cocks now... i wus shiting trucks man know how u feel. @Selino25 search for this video "A5 Troubleshooting Air Leaks", the one from tippmannsports. Do everything he does, and when it's time to put the tombstone back in, remember to put the pushpin for it back in as well, because if you leave that for later, the tombstone can move and leave enough room for the o-ring to pop out.

@2613zacdabomb No, its semi-automatic, meaning you have to pull the trigger for every shot, not load a new round. The marker does that for you.

hi the spring for my cocking handle snapped just a bit it still fits on the handle with a tiny bit of tension. Is this the reason why my cocking handle wont cockback?

Im having troubles assembling my a5, when im putting everything back in and i push everything inside... the o ring and the washer of the valve will pop out.... its so annoying.

I have a problem. i did this with my gun but something isn't right. When i pull the cocking lever back it's like it catches on something inside the gun and won't cock. I've followed this video and tried to take it apart and reassemble it several times and keep ending up with the same result. HELP ME PLEASE!!

hey i have the tippmann A-5 and i took apart my A-5 and put it back togeather and not i it dosnt seem to want to shoot im not sure if i lost a bolt or not cause there a empty hole right next to the feeder about an inch back is it suppose to be like that or not please help me cause i really like the gun and it would suck if i can use it agen

@standish420 That empty hole is your velocity screw. If you lost it you can just buy a new one for super cheap.

hey man i have done every thing just as you have works :) but the barrel wiggles now thanks to the barrel adapter ive fixed some thing like that on a bt4 with some etape or is it just to sit in there some magic way i don't know about

@danny96211 the paint in paintballs is made from a derivative of olive oil and if you chop balls in your gun and leave it there eventually it will build up and form a goopy paste like you see on all the bunkers that get shot alot in the field. it is very important to clean and maintenance your gun after every game to keep it in peak working order.

i dont want to flame or anything but the number 1 rule of gun cleaning is never put water on it, because no matter how much you dry it with a paper towel there will be moisture there and cause rust so to clean the paint just use dry q-tips and then use a paper towel and some gun oil to clean everything up. Very nice video

@azniikka pball guns don't work like that. you don't get mods to make it shoot faster/slower. if you're asking how far and accurate, it's not going to shoot very well. i would suggest upgrading to a better barrel first.

lmfao unless theres somthing wrong with your gun initially, there no point in doing this,, u DO NOT need to do this to clean your gun... you'll probably just end up breaking it somehow,, the paint used in paintballs cannot damage anything in the gunn, its not oil or even water based, its something else that cannot do damage or harm anything... i think corn oil.. plus,, tippmanns are the most durable and loongest lasting guns,, they can take a beating,, i have an a-5 and 98 c

Well, just because something CAN take a beating doesn't mean you have to let it. Some owners may way to develop responsible habits or ensure that the lifespan is maximized. I mean, there's no harm in cleaning. Yeah, a rookie might break it but then that's why people make manuals and videos like this.

@cobi1996 i dont know if someone has replied yet but the tippmann a5 and 98 custom have very close internals so basically they're are the same gun the differences between the two however are a5 has easier maintenance as you saw with the push pins and has more upgrades than the 98 custom such as they both can get e grips but the a5 can get one with a selector switch making changing of modes easier but the only thing is the a5 costs more than a 98 custom both are awesome markers though

I didnt notice that a nail looking thing fell of and that is what is making the gun not cock....i placed it back in and the gun cocks now... i wus shiting trucks man know how u feel. @Selino25 search for this video "A5 Troubleshooting Air Leaks", the one from tippmannsports. Do everything he does, and when it's time to put the tombstone back in, remember to put the pushpin for it back in as well, because if you leave that for later, the tombstone can move and leave enough room for the o-ring to pop out.
