I dont think the change in shoes was a mistake. I think they wanted to switch dances and scenes, so they did that so they wouldn't have to close the curtains.

I've danced in ballets where the costume changes have been as fast as this, so it really isn't that unrealistic...the switch suddenly to red pointe shoes while she's onstage is a movie mistake, though.

If you notice in the previous part, her pointe shoes are normally coloured. I think it was a way of transitioning from one dance to the next.
